Don’t listen to the negative reviews. The Amazon Basics butyl rubber sound deadener is great as long as you apply it properly. Guaranteed 100% the ones giving negative reviews do not know how to apply the material properly. I have 2 vehicles deadened with this for several years now with excellent results. And I am talking 8+ layers 100% coverage on car audio competition vehicles. 👍👍

Got this to sound deaden the rear deck and rear shelf for my Acura TL Since I was installing a RF P3 12". Without any of the deadening material, just tapping on it would make it buzz. I covered the whole rear deck and the shelf (added like 5lbs to it. Now nothing buzzes or rattles back there no matter how hard that 12 is hitting and that thing gets LOUD! Literally makes my rear view mirrors unusable.Tips: use some utility scissors to cut it. Take your time, make stencils. And the rollers worked great to apply it.It's time consuming so prepare yourself, but it's well worth it.

Sadly due to the current economic climate, my wife and I find ourselves homeless and living in our car. When we are having relations in the rather cramped back seat my wife tends to be quite loud, often screaming out loud, to the extent that we are heard outside the car. This can be very disturbing, not to mention embarrassing. On more than one occasion the police have been called and we have been forced to relocate to finish our activities. Someone suggested lining the car with these sound insulators, and they have proven to work like a charm! Now my wife can scream as loud as possible as my oil pump releases and not a sound is heard outside the car. Recommended for anyone needing to mute the banging from the interior of their car!

This was easy to work with while replacing my factory speakers. On a few sheets, the paper backing was a pain to remove as it would rip in pieces instead of pulling off as a single piece but maybe it was user error. I would buy again, save money over buying name brand.

I bought this for my class c motor home. It is a ford E-450. Large engine, large vehicle, that makes a lot of noise. I applied this product to the bare metal floors, behind the engine enclosure, and in the doors. What a difference in the noise level this stuff made. Highly recommend! Very sticky, just the right thickness, and easy to install.

This stuff is great! I did the entire back wall of my new pickup, along with the doors when I replaced the factory speakers. Easy to work with, and seems to stick to the surface very well.

Far exceeded my expectations! I ordered based on the reviews of others and was not disappointed. The foil on top is thick and durable, not easily prone to ripping. No odor at all, and super simples to install. I thought these would be super sticky but they don't become tacky till you roll them on. They are hard to work with in tight spaces with lots of angles and indents, but just use a pair of scissors and it eventually works out. I'd recommend getting a couple different roller sizes

Installed the deadening on the back wall of my truck. Easy to work with and at great price. My Sub sounds cleaner and much better too. Just need to my doors and will be good to go.
