The pipes are standard pipes and some need to be threaded less than others in order for them to all be in the correct orientation. They do come covered in oil so be sure to wipe them down before holding them up to your walls or setting them on anything. Overall very happy with the results and get lots of compliments. Hanging took me, a novice, about four hours.

Ok this is a great product!! A few things tho… 1st thing toss the wall anchors and get the heavy #8 screw in anchors. 2nd wipe the pipes off really well to keep the black residue off your hands or get ready to clean your walls.

The media could not be loaded. So this review is a few parts.1. This is industrial pipe, your hands will get dirty so recommend wearing gloves.2. The anchors are way too big for the screws provided. Plan on getting different anchors and screws. Fortunately I had a pack available.3. I’ve seen comments about no instructions or complications installing. Do a dry run. Assemble one side so you know where you want to position, and then only start with the top fittings, unassembled, get the two top pieces installed and level and work down. Leave some spacing on each side so you will be able to tilt your shelves some to get in. Then assemble as you work your way down and securing the flange into the wall.4. Pay attention to the shelves you are buying; I didn’t. Went to Home Depot, bought a 1’x12’; had it cut there into 4 pieces. Checked out; the price was $13.42 PER FOOT !!!! That just cost me $155 on this $30 closet. 🤣🤣🤣. You learn; or you have people giving you a heads up like this also. Overall I like this concept; but the manufacture needs to QC the hardware and make changes.

very heavy and I couldn't use them on my drywall without an incredible heavy duty anchor

I bought these to put an off the ground bookshelf in my room. It comes out a little bit further than I'd hoped, but it looks great! My husband made the shelves and said it's very sturdy. He even hung off of it after he put the racks up. It's a great bookshelf that I spent 1/2 of what I would've paid at the store.

The rust is definitely intentional to get that “industrial ahed” look and the grease prevents it from getting too rusty. But they are super gross and dirty when you pull them out of the box, it took me 15-20 minutes just to clean them enough to build the shelf.Other than the dirt/grease these are a great kit for making a custom shelf. I installed these next to my computer desk with a cheap pine butcher block board from my local hardware store.

I eleminated one shelf because of space but these are great! They are heavy duty. When they arrive they are a bit greasy but that is expected since they do that so it doesn’t rust. I seen this complaint a lot in other reviews but it’s to prevent rusting during shipment. This is a product I would definitely buy again.

Put the shelf in my New sewing room after the kid moved out.. Love it and the look. Just one more board I have outside and iam done.
