10 Kg, before and after
This is a Hakka, model FME20. I intentionally avoided Hakka, because reviews say it's hard to clean, but here we are. As you can see in the photo, it mixes 10kg with room to spare. Can probably do 15 or so. It's easy to crank, which is good because your arm will still get tired. And as you can see, it does a great job and keeps the meat very cold.Cleaning. Cleaning this is, by far, my least favorite part of sausage making. Having said that, I don't know what they could change to make it easier. The wing nuts are a bit of a pain, but other than that I don't know how you could make it easier. It is what it is. I like itCleaning. Cleaning this is probably my

Works great. A small crack in the seam after 2 years but will try and contact them. Otherwise a 5 star

Great buy
I love this thing. I bought this one because it had a 40 lbs compacity and all my recipes are around 30 lbs. The gearing is awesome. very little effort is needed to turn the crank to mix your meat and it break down easy for clean up.

Great value
Great mixer. I found 15 pounds of meat is about perfect per batch. I used a cordless drill on low speed with a 5/8" 12 point socket and it worked great for running the mixer.

It works!
If you want to turn it with a cordless drill, you'll need a 6pt 11/16" socket.Turning by hand isn't bad, either. The tilt feature is kinda mid - easy to figure out the interlocks, but only of limited value in pulling mix out of the trough. It was easy enough to clean in my utility sink - fill it with hot water, let the mix cook, swipe the interior clean with a sponge, and rinse out.I think it was a ton easier than using a stand mixer in multiple batches. Dumped the ground pork and then the farce (pureed beef) and spice, plus jalapeno and cheddar for (surprise...) jalapeno cheddar sausage, a 10lb batch, and about forty cranks later, it was mixed, with good 'stick' to the mix (good protein extraction).I think I can use this for 15-20lbs batches easily. 10lbs is probably my mainstay, though. As others have noted, CMI is shipping 'Hakka Bros' equipment. This was $5 less expensive.

False product description
The online description says it’s a 40# mixer with the capability to do 30# of meat. But the nameplate on the machine says 20#’s of meat maximum. It looks like it would hold only 10#’s comfortably, 1/3 of the advertised capacity.

Makes things a bit easier
Seems like a good product. We harvest several deer per season. I used it this past season mixing sausage as well as jerky/snack sticks. Makes doing large batches really easy. Other years we had to mix small batches by hand. Now im able to do large batches at the same time and can package pre seasoned amounts to be done at a later date as well.
