Not the best but not the worst
Let's jump right into the problem. Cutting wood you will get some build-up in the on and off buttons. Three days of hard use the buttons became jammed up with sawdust. I bought the biggest wet dry vacuum that I could and taped it to the table port. That helped but 8 days later the same problem. Cutting metal is slow but this bandsaw does it with little issues. High carbon, stainless, brass, and some CPM metal. I just leave it at the 107 speed with a 10-14 bi-metal blade and no issues yet. For the price, It's nice to have but getting the speed belt system and clutch takes some time to figure out. The bottom line I'm glad I bought it for $1500. If I would have had more money in my pocket I probably would have gone with a Grizzly multi bandsaw for over double the price.Once I have made enough I probably will get the Grizzly and this will become the backup.

Not worth the $
Not what I expected from a Jet Product. Will be selling it on Craig's List. I will "take a hit" but hey, you can't hit a home run every time :-(

Shipping was excellent! Arrived undamaged
Shipping was excellent! Arrived undamaged. Setup was easy. Getting the pulleys to engage and disengage took a bit of practice. Some of the speeds require you to swap pulleys from top to bottom and at least one combination was not in the manual. I got the Kreg fence also which took a bit of fiddling to figure out. No drilling was required. Saw runs super smooth. Nothing flimsy about this saw. Highly recommended. As a requested review from Amazon, I have not yet had a chance to put the saw through its paces, but so far so good. I don't really see any saw that competes with it out there.

Good metal/wood bandsaw
Good bandsaw. Easy to change blades and speeds. Hard to get the dust all sucked up. Poor design there.

Great tool for a knife maker
As a knife maker, I need to make cuts in both metal and wood. This bad boy handles tough knife steels without difficulty, as well as exotic hardwoods. I added a Kreg fence and a Carter blade tensioner as well. Both were significant upgrades to the ease of operation of this saw.
