The Perfect Bourbon Guide
As a bourbon enthusiast, who is currently planning a trip to Kentucky Bourbon Trail in 2021, I was excited to find such a through guide in Whiskey Lore's Travel Guide to Experiencing Kentucky Bourbon. Drew does an excellent job first introducing himself and then explaining what makes bourbon America’s Spirit. He then takes you step by step in the how to of planing a trip on the bourbon trail. I found this to be so valuable I scraped my current plan and started over under Drew’s guidance. He follows this valuable information with something every bourbon enthusiast will find valuable and that is how to conduct a proper tasting. It is well developed and valuable information to raise your bourbon game. He ends this source of great knowledge with 32 distillery profiles. These are well thought out and informative. I would recommend this guide to any bourbon enthusiast from the seasoned bourbon veterans the bourbon beginners.

Excellent travel companion
Excellent book for planning a trip to Kentucky and various distilleries. It is well written and informative. However, there is one glaring omission that need to be added to future editions. There needs to be a map showing where the various distilleries are located.Overall an excellent read and a good travel companion. I bought two copies - one for myself and one for friends who will be traveling with me.

I'm Now a Whiskey Girl!
I loved this book and can’t wait to get my print copy! An admitted long time wine drinker, I am now fully on board the whiskey train. I blindly started experimenting with it a few months ago, but now that I have this great reference book I don’t feel like a beginner anymore. The book is such a great reference text but also reads like a novel, so it’s hard to put down. The professional way that the distilleries are compared, makes it very easy to decide how to plan your tour and special things to look for. The tasting techniques and flavor wheel information are excellent! And reading about the brand index has pumped up my shopping confidence and intelligence. Whether planning a bourbon tour or trying to think of a unique gift; get this book, it’s a keeper!

Great book for First Time Bourbon Trail Travelers
Really liked this book, it was perfect in helping me plan a first time Bourbon Trail trip. The book is a quick read and easy to understand. Drew gives a great overview and history of Kentucky bourbon, but the real value is on planning and booking your trip to bourbon country. He provides a nice overview of the distilleries and areas. There were many great tips for approaching a trip. There is also a link to his website content, podcasts, and additional resources that were also helpful. Highly recommend this book.

Kentucky Bourbon Trail in 143 Colored Pages!!
This book is a great resource when visiting Kentucky!!!! I like the layout, the colored pictures of the 32 distilleries the author visited. It also lists non-bourbon places to visit. Excellent travel companion….. :)

You can almost taste the bourbon
I've lived in Tennessee for nearly 15 years and regularly visit Kentucky to taste new products, especially from small distilleries. As I moved through this book, it fully and accurately described not only the distillery, but also my experiences in those places.I'm embarrassed to say I knew very little about distilleries in Western Kentucky -- I do now -- and you can bet I'll be headed for those in short order.Hannush really did the research for this great guide. If you depend only upon what's known as the Bourbon Trail, you'll miss out on a LOT of great distilleries. Hannush gives you all you need to plan a great trip. It will be my guide to Western Kentucky bourbon (who knew there were so many?)

Perfect
I am planning a trip for some bourbon'ing this summer (scratch that, Covid, next summer). This book was the perfect antidote to hours of wasted time googling on the internet. I really liked the format, and the e-book medium will help make sure I have it wherever my phone is. The logistics section and tying together different areas for a day, including good tie-in, was a nice touch. The summaries of bourbon history and tasting is a good concise guide for any friends and family members who want pointers before rushing headlong into a pour!
