Gorton 4#S 1/8" Chrome Angel Valve, Orifice Size Equal to 1, Silver

The steam vent doesn't ever close and continuously let's steam out. Bad product not happy at all especially for the price. I'll stick with other brands and sellers

The gold star in terms of performance - works as intended, no spitting, no loud clicking like other vents. However, I think consumers would benefit from Gorton publishing the air flow rates (e.g. #sccm @ #MPa) so we can better balance our steam heat systems. I can calculate the total volume of air in my system, and I set the operating pressure range, but I can't calculate the time for steam to reach a radiator unless I know the flow rates of the vents. Simply saying that a #5 flows x times more than a #4 doesn't do much good if I don't know the flow rate of a #4.

Incorrect description. There are two pictures - one of a side mount, and one of a straight top mount. Description states "ORDINARY AIR VENT, SIDE MOUNT," but straight valve was received. Please correct description and picture(s).

Wow! For a name that every plumber recommends this vent is trash. Within seconds of turning on the gas steam boiler this vent started spitting water like there’s no tomorrow. I removed it and put up one of those cheap Taiwan cents and it actually worked much better than this. Do not buy Gorton!!!

it is everything you want to steam radiator valve to do and look like. It has a great patina. My plumber told to put it on the last radiator since it has not adjustments.

Quiet operation.

My master plumber recommended this vents. It's the third brand that I've used in my 100 year-old home.
