First off, my original order didn't come with everything that it was supposed to. I contacted the seller and they were apologetic and just sent me another complete kit (hint, this must be dirt cheap to manufacture to send a whole new kit). I thought that was nice and used the kit 4 or 5 times no issues. Always checked straps multiple times and kept it to around 45 to 55 mph.A few weeks pass and I decided to meet up with some classmates from college that I had not seen in sometime. I did my normal routine, checked the straps, etc. Nothing seemed unusual. I got on the expressway and within 5 minutes, everything flew off and my kayaks went flying through the air like a plane crashing. Thank God kayaks are durable they only ended up with some scratches and a broken bungie. The big factor is I am so thankful that no one was injured because there were definitely people behind me on the road.What I believe happened is the part of one of the towers that holds the strap to the roof malfunctioned under high-stress/wind and snapped. Once the strap broke, everything went.My experience: I am a Design Engineer and design tools. Product is unsafe and I made a bad decision buying this product.

Everyone is posting saying this product has failed or damaged your car, but if that's the case it's probably because it's your fault.I've owned mine for 4 years and NEVER had a problem. It's 2 bars, with 2 feet on each bar. What else is there to talk about? People use pool noodles as roof racks and you guys are on here complaining about some nice metal racks? Go buy the expensive ones custom made for your roof then!These racks are PERFECT for anyone who just needs something to protect their roof from whatever they're carrying on their roof. ALWAYS strap your things TO YOUR CAR, not to the roof racks. That's why everyone is complaining on failure, it's because they didn't strap correctly.Buy this and go buy RATCHET STRAPS. You'll have a perfectly safe roof rack for under $50. Let's be smart people!

I have recently ordered this item from amazon and even tho I liked how fast it got here the product itself was in bad condition when arriving. Also the quality for this was one of the worst I’ve ever seen and tried it on multiple cars and it did not fit on any of them.

Not the greatest quality. Instruction pictures are really dark and hard to figure out but I eventually got it! Kind of wobbly on top despite continually tightening it but that could be depending on vehicle roof curvature, but I think it will serve its purpose!

When I tested it on my Ford Focus 2007 it bent the upper portion of my door on one side. I stopped my test and the parts that secure it to the bar are made of plastic. Very unsafe for anyone that leaves in a high temperature area (such as South West USA).

It didn't fit my car and when I tried to return it (supposedly 60 day no hassle return policy) I was told that my credit card would be refunded and that I could keep the rack. The refund never happened, and now I am stuck with a useless roof rack. And, for what it's worth, even if it had fit my car, the connection was so wobbly that it would be hard to trust it would hold under highway conditions. Do not buy this rack and if you do, be prepared for problems with it.

Did not fit my application but company was more than willing to make it right with a refund.
