YBM Home Magnetic Switch & Outlet Cover, White (MF1006)

The media could not be loaded. I have Hue lights in my house and need the switches to stay on. I have put Hue dimmer switches next to some of my regular switches so it's easy to accidentally hit the wired switches. With these covers, that has completely stopped happening. I can even intermingle the covered switches with the ones I need to remain accessible (see photo).These covers work great. I was worried they wouldn't attach strongly enough and I would be knocking them off all the time. The magnets actually hold tight to the plate screws! It's been months and I haven't knocked one off yet.My only complaint is the sort of old-school design. I wish they were just rectangular. Maybe there is a functional reason for the shape of the cover. Not a big deal.If you want to cover a switch, this is the way to go.Oh - and you can remove them to access the switch should you need to periodically do so. They just snap right back on!

Needed this cover as we have a set of 3 flat rocker switches on the wall. Two control the lights in the room and the third controls our internet and tv power outlet, so as we fumbled for the light switches we kept resetting the wifi. This cover worked perfectly - it covers only one switch without blocking the other two. You literally take it out of the package and place on the screws on the faceplate and you're done, so installation can be done by anyone. The magnets are strong enough. The cover hasn't fallen by itself yet, and even when we bump the cover hitting the other switches, it doesn't budge. The design is normal enough that it doesn't stand out to people glancing around. Non-intrusive design, proper fit, and strong enough to hold with no tools - exactly what we needed to protect a switch from flipping

I have one of those stupid living rooms with a light switch that controls an electrical outlet instead of having a light fixture in the ceiling. It happens that we chose to place our floor lamp in a different location from what the builder envisioned in 1959, and the switch-controlled outlet has my TV and AV equipment, including a small computer.I didn't want someone to accidentally flip the wrong switch and cut off the power to all that equipment, so I tried to disable the light switch. I thought it would just be a matter of disconnecting two wires from the switch and splicing them together. However when I took the switch out, there were more wires than I was expecting and I couldn't tell what should be spliced to what. I tried to do some research about bypassing this type of switch, but eventually decided it was beyond my abilities, and I didn't want to end up burning the place down (my landlord is picky about these things).I found this switch cover and it's the perfect solution. The outlet switch is right next to another switch that controls a light, and the cover prevents the outlet switch from being used without interfering with the other light switch. The color matches the switch and backplate, so it looks very natural. Wife is happy, I'm happy, and Mac Mini is happy too. <3

Not much to review about this other than it works well anywhere your light switch wall plates are perfectly flat.The magnets line up nicely and covers the paddle switches well.However, some of the light switches in my house apparently have wall plates that are just barely uneven for whatever reason. Because of this the plate does not fit at all. I've seen other designs online that would accommodate this problem much better.I'm giving 4 stars because it works exactly as it should, but removing 1 star because it seems like the design should be a little better to handle uneven surfaces.

Our garbage disposal switch is on the side of our cabinets and is exposed to people passing by. So having to dig something out of it was always a bit scary. This cover had given me peace of mind that the switch will not be accidentally hit when not needed. Fits over the switch perfectly and have never had an issue with it falling off. Highly recommend!

Easy to install, unobtrusive. Sure beats disconnecting the switch and installing a blank plate in place of the switch. With my Smart Home (Alexa et al), I have several mechanical switches which are no longer needed. This is a simple way to prevent the switches being accidentally activated or deactivated. If there is ever a need to use the mechanical switch, just lift off this cover.

I have given this product the max stars as it works fairly well and does the job. I have two issues no stars deducted for these issues:1. Its seems way to expensive for a small piece of plastic and two small magnets, but I knew the price when I purchased them. Would buy more of the price was more economical.2. Some of the wall plates in my home have a bend to them a product of cheap labor and no quality control. Perhaps some of you have had inferior Sheetrock work. The cover will not conform to the slight bend in the plate and you will see a gap either on top or bottom. Most wall plates have some flexibility and conform to the non straight or flush Sheetrock in American homes.
