Possibly my worst by of 2021
I bought the minimo because I wanted one for heating up soups / Macaroni cheese etc & the minimo has the best adjustment for low flame cooking... well, so I thought. Despite my best efforts getting a flame low enough to gently heat up a packet of, just add water & milk, Macaroni cheese was impossible. Within a few seconds the liquid was boiling over the top of the pot. The gas burner is pretty much all or nothing. There is an in-between point but it's incredibly difficult to get because you can't see the flame as the pot completely covers it & one turn of the adjuster does nothing. So, once you've boiled the guts out of whatever it was you're trying to heat up, its time to wash it up... I've used mine twice & the non stick has completely gone. The flame is so fierce whatever you're cooking will be welded to the bottom of the pot, it took 2 weeks of soaking the pot before I finally got all the burnt on food off!!! The £140 gas cooker is now useless for anything other than water. I've gone back to using my Trangia burner. Do not waste your money on this unless you want an overpriced way to boil water.

Works well, but be really careful packing it up for transport and storage
The weak point of this stove is within the burner flame ignition system, which has a tiny wire where the spark leaps to lights the gas on fire. This tiny wire t can malfunction if bent out of its position and place. It's located in the base of the burner. And it's really easy to accidentally bend it . If and when it gets bent out of place, no spark will connect with the gas to produce the flame. I've read lots of reviews about the lighter failing after about 3 uses both on amazon and REI. I've used this little stove on several kayak camping trips where packing is stuffing your camp equipment and gear into holes inside dry bags with lots of opportunities to dent such a wire if not well packed into its cook cup. I can see this being an issue with packing up a backpack or even car kitchen mess kit. So it's very important to make sure to pack the stove inside the cup to protect the ignition wire and when cooking to be careful not to bang it with a pot, then it will survive to work. Bring along a wee bitty lighter for back up just in case. Or waterproof matches, tho you will have a nice little ongoing flaming torch until the waterproof match burns out. since these little torches are not designed to extinguish!I also purchased the jetboil cooking pot for soups to share with my partner and another easy thing to mess up is the plastic protection lid for the base of the cooking pot. The protection lid also serves as your food plate until you forget to take it off first before placing the cooking pot on the burner! Now, mine looks like a purposeful donut-shaped protection cover and still does a very fine job of protection for the base. This little stove boils water super fast, and the low temp control works as advertised. Will see how long it takes me to mess up that ignition wire!

Incredibly convenient and easy to use
Edit: 5 stars still stand and it was truly a lifesaver as I wound up staying a couple extra nights in remote Alaska. It operated without fail. I'm very impressed with it.Original review: I'm pretty new to using this style of cook stove so i was a little hesitant at first. It's easy to set up, it boils the water quickly and it's vesatility is great. I love that it is compact and fits easily in my pack.

Sweet little cooking unit
For back or bike packing this is a handy versatile cooking unit. Easy to use and efficient. Things to like/love: - The igniter is great.- Easy to clean- The cover around the cooking cup works great- Controlling the heat is a snap- Packs up maybe a little bigger than others but still lightweightI used this for heating up anything with liquid and the base unit with a frying pan for cooking eggs, sausage, bacon, etc. I've seen youtube videos of packers touting cheaper units but I have confidence in the MinoMo. One of my buds was very interested in getting one to replace his cheaper unit.I'm sure there are units that boil faster but only by a bit. When I'm out camping I'm not in that much of a hurry anyway.
