this is the best oil to use
*** update: This oil is still great, but the cost is insane. Anything over $10 shipped is a rip off. I paid about $8 shipped. ***For those of you who stir-fry, this is the best oil to use. Unfortunately, most Americans shy away from stir-frying thinking it unhealthy because it is a little "greasy," and instead we eat processed carbohydrates and hidden fats. Actually, stir-frying can be very healthy because it makes more nutrients available (compared to raw or boiled veggies), and it tastes much better than steamed veggies.I purchased this oil twice, and both times I received a very high quality rich-flavored peanut oil. It was packaged well in bubble wrap to prevent it from breaking. I have tried peanut oil from many vendors, and this is the absolute best tasting peanut oil that I can find in America. Stay away from any peanut oil that is refined...there is a huge difference in taste. Also, not all unrefined peanut oils are equal in flavor.Pros:1) This oil has an excellent rich nutty flavor that makes stir-fried foods taste superb. Vegetable oil and canola oil taste terrible. Corn oil and sunflower oil are okay, but peanut oil is the best! It tastes even better than butter. The only fat that tastes even better than unrefined peanut oil is bacon grease, but bacon grease is high in saturated fat. Compared to other peanut oils I have tried in America, this has the best flavor.2) This oil can be used to cook at high temperatures without breaking down. Some oils, like olive oil, are unsuitable for frying because they break down at high temperatures.3) Because it is high oleic peanut oil, this oil is very healthy. Not all fats are the same, and not all monounsaturated fats are the same. Oleic acid is the good part of monounsaturated fat, and it has been show to lower LDL (bad cholesterol). This is a healthy fat, much better than canola oil.Cons:1) This oil costs too much! If you are going to use a lot of this oil, there needs to be a low cost solution. I only see it being sold in 16 fl. oz glass bottles. There should definitely be an option to buy it in gallon or half-gallon plastic containers, and the cost should be greatly reduced for the larger containers. I cannot afford this oil at this price.

Excellent Peanut Oil
Excellent, robust yet neutral flavor for healthier fat frying. I don’t eat fried foods often and I definitely don’t eat out because you cannot outsource your food if you want to maintain a healthy lifestyle. Besides, even frying food in healthy oil still rearranges its molecular constitution rendering the food less amenable to our body’s needs so eating fried foods should be indulged in occasionally. However, this peanut oil isn’t LouAna’s. It makes all fried foods delicious although you can use it for just about any form of cooking. It has a high smoke point so it can withstand high temperatures without burning. This unrefined peanut oil contains vitamin E, which is a great antioxidant and have many benefits against chronic disease and promotes a healthy heart and maintains stable blood sugar. It’s a good fat versus bad fat and could be a great addition to your diet when consumed in moderation. Not only does it contains vitamin E, but also has phytosterols mono and polyunsaturated fats. Query Google about these fats found in this amazing peanut oil. That said, bon appetít!

Strong flavor and delicious.
This has a VERY strong peanut odor and flavor. If that's what you want, then this stuff is incredible. (I use it primarily with chicken.) If you want a more neutral oil, then just buy cheap veggie oil. Don't buy this delicious oil and then complain !Also, as with any oil, freshness is critical. It's possible that some negative reviews are from people that received old oil. This is sadly quite common. FWIW, this oil, as delivered to me, was very fresh.

Best peanut oil I've found
Although a little on the expensive side, Spectrum peanut oil is perfect for stir frying. It has a really good, clean taste and it's a brand I trust. I do have to say, on the downside, Spectrum has a problem with sealing, whether it's a bottle cap or a ziplock type closure on a bag of ground flaxseed. They either don't close properly or are hard to open -- this bottle required a pliers to hold one part while I hand twisted the other. Typical. Top quality content, I just wish they'd do something to improve packaging.

Authentic and delicious!
This is the ONLY peanut oil I buy anymore. As soon as you crack it open, the peanut smell is just heavenly. And then when you start to cook with it, the fragrance carries outside. My husband always knows when I'm making something with it when he gets out of the car after work, as do my neighbors! HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS OIL!
