Thanks for selling these. I have used this style of nest bedding in the past and needed to buy more. I place one in each chicken nest box and then when they eventually start getting torn up or dirty I toss them and place new ones in. I have tried different forms of bedding and I always either use this or yellow pine finely mulched up horse bedding.I like that because these are stiff material and paper backed they hold together better. Eventually the chickens will destroy them (faster if your chickens like to kick the nesting material around). The only one so far to get tore up for me was the one a broody was using. She decided it was hatching time and that she needed the material moved around, other than that my hens don't tend to tear them up. I prefluff them before placing them in the nest box so maybe that helps.

I don’t normally write reviews but these were so much nicer than I imagined that I had to do it. I have seen some that are less than half as thick as these that wouldn’t last in a nest box or give enough padding. These are awesome and are even better than I expected.

I've been using straw and also shavings, but they always seemed so messy, and I keep having to refill the nests. So I decided to try these liners and I am very pleased. I just cut them to fit the nest and the chickens loved them. I have had them for two weeks and the hens have not disturbed them, and I have not had to refill. But the best part is the chickens are not pooping on them and the eggs are so clean. No shaving or straw to clean off the eggs. This is the only product I am going to use from now on.

These nesting pads are the best! Not only do they hold their shape so the chickens can't kick the bedding out of the nest easily, they are easy to compost AND made in the USA! Well worth the price. I take them out periodically and shake them outside and replace them, so they last a long time. The paper backing is even great for the compost pile. I will never go back to straw or shavings. We have been buying this product for a while now. My hands love this and it’s super soft. It fits perfectly in their nesting box and when I clean it out it’s great to just pick up the piece square and throw away. It’s also easy to find an egg as it doesn’t get lost in the bottom of hay or straw. We love this product. It’s a little pricey, but we clearly think it’s worth it as we continue to purchase.

My hens seem to be OK with these nesting box liners and they don’t kick them out of the boxes. The liners that my local feed store has are much thinner.
