CS-2N Helmet

Very comfortable

Let me start by saying I'm new to motorcycles and this is the first helmet that I bought so take it for what it's worth.I chose this helmet since I wanted a flat black helmet that had an open face with a removable ear/neck curtain. While of course safety is a huge factor I didn't want to spend a fortune on my first helmet only to find out that I wanted to get a different style. Overall I am pleased with this helmet and offer my opinions and experience.The finish is a very nice flat black which is easy to clean. Bug splatter comes off very easily and after several cleanings and much use the finish has not worn down nor become shiny in spots. Also, the HJC sticker on the front is a vinyl sticker and comes off easily for those of you interested in removing it.The helmet is DOT rated, has good padding inside, and fits very comfortably. The walls (shell and foam) are quite thick so when first putting it on it felt huge. A bit larger than I was expecting but there is a price to pay for safety. There are two vents on the front of the helmet at the forehead which help with venting. The included visor is pretty useless in my opinion but breaks up the bubbly look of the helmet and helps direct some air through the vents. The ear curtain is helpful in colder weather. The ear curtains do not hug the ear tightly so you are still able to hear well but at speed the wind is quite loud and most importantly I have gotten several bugs find their way into the ear pocket. This of course forces you to pull over and shake them out. Probably not a fault of this helmet in particular but still worth mentioning. As far as sizing goes the manufacturer webpage has a sizing chart. I used the method they describe to measure my head and the resulting helmet fit perfectly. Very simple process. The chin strap does it's job and it is easy to pass them through the D rings when tightening helmet. There is also a snap to keep the end of the strap from flopping around in the wind. My only complaint is the strap is a little to close to my neck rather than under my chin so sometimes it irritates my Adam's apple. Not a big problem but still worth a comment.Overall this helmet is a good value.

This is a replacement for my old Bell Bandito helmet that aged out a long time ago. The fit is perfect just as all my other HJC helmets.I'm in Northern California and received it in 2 days from shipping date.

I wanted to get a 1/2 helmet for hotter days or when I have a rider, so they can use my fullface. I currently have an HJC CL17 fullface and loved the value and comfort so I bought this 1/2 helmet. The zip out neck curtain is nice and it fits great on my head. Most 1/2 I've used tend to sit high and any speed over 45 feels like it's going to fly off,but not this one. I've only got up to 55mph and I haven't notice this problem. It's a great helmet. Its HJC, so you know it's great quality and it won't break the bank. And I don't feel like I'm risking my brain to save a few dollars. If you want a comfortable, well made 1/2 helmet, then look no further.

Matches my Vespa color perfectly. Thought it was coming with a visor (maybe gut be my mistake) I looked at a lot of helmets on Amazon.Not very comfortable, but it might be myhead so not sure who’s to blame

I bought this helmet to replace my old HJC of a very similar model. This helmet covers the sides of my head further down, but just above my ears. I like it better than some of the others that are inches above my ears, and feel more like a bicycle helmet. HJC improved the visor as it is not held on with snaps that vibrate as you ride, but the visor no longer extends out to block the sun as the old one did. The edge of the bill is about where the edge of the helmet is, so not very practical except to make the helmet look a little more sporty than just a plain helmet. The removable ear flaps are nice and just zip out and in for when it gets a little chilly outside. Overall good helmet, I recommend and will buy HJC again.

After my first decently long ride on a warm day, I'm very pleased with this helmet. When I first received the helmet, it felt too snug, but it broke in nicely and quickly (wore it briefly around the house a couple of times before riding, to my young son's amusement) and is now snug enough not to move around loosely but very comfortable. I wore the helmet with vintage military goggles and those didn't fog up when I was moving, so they must have been getting good ventilation under the visor and around the forehead. In any case the helmet didn't feel hot (more comfortable in that sense than my full-head helmet). Removable ear / neck liner is a good idea also. It surprisingly wasn't too warm to wear on a summer day and I appreciated the more "surrounded" feeling and slight bit of noise reduction. I'm sure the liner will be an asset on cooler days as well. This is a really nice, well built, and stylish helmet at an amazingly good price.
