RAM Mounts RAM-B-367U Motorcycle Handlebar Clamp Base with M8 Bolts with B Size 1" Ball

I’ve been searching for a phone mounting option for my ‘98 BMW K1200RS and there aren’t many. Even the forums come up pretty empty with options. With this, I was able to use in place of the handlebar mount bolt and it functions perfectly. Seems sturdy and is the right size ball for my application. Pretty simple setup and well thought out design.

If you are looking for an unobtrusive mount for your phone to use navigation, and you don't want to spend a lot, this is your solution.Installation is a breeze, it all but disappears without the phone carrier attached, and provides a secure foundation for your phone. It seems way better than the more expensive handlebar clamp style ball mounts.

Perfect to replace the stabilizer screw on your 2023 zx10 to mount your phone with ram or quad lock ball mounts.Need to remove the original bolt, BE CAREFUL WHEN REMOVING. THERE IS ALSO A BLACK METAL WASHER UNDER THE NYLON WASHER under the stabilizer when you remove the original screw. I ended up having to take off my fenders to find what fell because I was only holding the big white nylon washer. Glad I didn’t need to go further into the bike to find it.I used a 1/4” socket and with a harbor freight cheap t40 security bit and was able to loosen it with a little leverage, and small socket wrench to loosen the original bolt. Secured the middle sized length bolt with some blue loctite, works great.

Took a chance and it fit!Happy!Needed to trim a bit of extra rubber from the shaft with a razor blade, then spun it in a piece of green ScotchBrite to clean it up.Easy peasy. Looks better than new.Matches the other brushed bits on the bike.

I've made hundreds of purchases and never write reviews, but think I can help a lot of people here. I bought this set up for my Harley knowing it came with the m8 bolts. I called Ram and currently they don't make a 5/16 kit for the non metric bikes. Nothing against the metrics, but they are alienating a large market here. Anyway I have apes on my bike and wanted to keep a clean look. I only use one inverted mirror on my left side. So I had an open hole where the right mirror used to be. I then wanted to use the old mirrors acorn nut to match the one on the left mirror. I was able to find a 5/16 with the proper thread for $.98 at the local Fastenal store part number 23826. This is a 5/16-24 x 2-1/2 bolt which will allow you to use this item along with your stock acorn nut in the factory mirror mount location. It looks cleaner and makes it easier since you won't have mix and match bolts if ever dissembling.As far as the x-grip it works great. I was very nervous putting a $1k phone in it, but gradually became more comfortable. It stays rock steady at 70+ mph. I never thought I'd need this, but after a few times getting lost and googling my way on the side of the road I figured I'd give it a try, especially for those trips where I have a schedule. Almost every review I found was for low speed off-road use, bikes with windshields or fairings. This is a true fist in the wind set up and it works.

The item arrived in perfect shape. Then, when I opened it, none of the bolts would fit. RAM had a casting problem, and the product was warped. I could ship it back, or get the Dremel Tool out. Half an hour of fit inspection, grinding, fit inspection, etc. and I have a working Ram mount. I never tried to return it, nor did I complain. Actually I am a bit impressed by such a good design that being a bit off meant it doesn't work. The ball itself is a single piece of rubber-coated aluminum. I was a custom fab shop employee, and from time to time we got 'slightly off' castings and stampings. I suspect this was dropped/stressed during machining/stamping, as the very end showed a bit of metal stress, but not the bolt hole and not on the outer surface. It wasn't much, but with tight tolerances it takes little. In the end all I did was open the top hole a bit (where the allen bolt head is supposed to be completely countersunk). I could actually make it work, but it bound, something I would kick myself for in future. I was in a hurry, or I would have returned it. No need now. I doubt you can tell it was worked on.

I put it on my motorcycle handlebar. It is firms and looks goodGood quality rubber and aluminum. Easy to install. Avoid the vibration and it comes with 3 different bolts lenght. I wish it had a washer. I use it with a RAM arm and a rokform phone holder. Is good value for the money.
