Tarot Card Combinations Paperback – April 1, 2003

The book arrived in a timely fashion and its condition is fine. I am impressed with the book itself and have already started to use it. A great resource to have in one's tarot collection.

Great book

Not a total waste of money. I'm a beginner and did learn something from the introduction. But I have to agree with the above review. It is poorly organized. There is no order. If you have the time on your hands to spend an hour or more a day studying this book. Then yes it may be for you. It definitely isnt a quick reference book. It's just ok. But it does teach the system. If you were looking for a quick go to. This isnt for you. This is a book for beginners!

This book was very useful to me because I was able to learn the logic behind how to put cards together which actually is the purpose of the book! those looking for a combinations "dictionary" will be dissapointed, the goal of the book is help you understand how cards mix and combine, after that, maybe you go back to the book just once in while for reference.This book can be used in parallel with other books by begginners which are studying card meanings and symbolism, the book offers 12 keywords for each card (6 upright and 6 reversed) might be consider very simple words, but once again the goal of the book is to teach a thinking system not card meanings.The only part I disliked of the book was that samples seemed very redundant to me, but understand that authors must think in readers of many levels of comprehension, anyway a very useful book.

If you are interested in the tarot, this is a great book to add to your collection

When purchasing this book I thought the concept of it was great. I'm very analytical and I like to bring some structure into the realm of Tarot and readings and I thought this book would for sure do it.However, it doesn't rock my world at all. I don't know why I didn't consider it, but its almost impossible to list all possible 2 card combinations in one book and then define them. I give this book credit in attempting to do such thing.This is probably one those books that might be worthwhile if you're really stuck, but it doesn't really offer much in the way of a good method in reading card combinations or teaching someone how. So I wouldn't suggest it as a guide for those who are trying to learn tarot and the symbols. It does offer other insights, but nothing too radical to help one progress through their tarot learning.

The book was helpful, but there were not enough card combinations to be truly an asset to studying tarot.
