We had lost the key to our freezer and could not find a key at any hardware store. I was excited to find them on Amazon. They were perfect and fit as stated. We were able to open the freezer. I am so glad I found the key on Amazon.

We literally just received these keys within the past 15 minutes of writing this review. Somehow the key to our upright Whirlpool freezer (model WZF56R16DW04 for those using the search feature) disappeared, which had always hung on the side of our freezer for quick use. We lock it not due to having experienced twice over the years the door being left ajar inadvertently overnight and wiping out the contents. The mystery, or operator error, caused us angst. These keys both worked perfectly! And our model was not listed on the sales page. We just rolled the dice and we came up winners.On a side note, to buy a single OEM key elsewhere with shipping would have cost us x3 the amount we paid for these.

The keys worked for our up right freezer. It is nice that it comes with an extra set also.

I bought a GE freezer some years ago that was scratch/dent at a big box store but it didn't have the keys. It wasn't a big deal at the time but now that the kids are older they have discovered the ice pops we keep in side, so it was time to lock it. Fortunately it seems the lock is just a VERY simple key pattern (star) so it's more a deterrent than a real lock (deters kids enough), but these keys work just fine for it.

We have a smaller chest freezer (from my grandparents who bought it maybe the 1980s) and use it to stock up on proteins and some snack items. My kids love to just slam the door "shut" or they don't care and just shove things inside hoping the door will close.One day, in the summer, we found the freezer was open for 4 days. it stunk in the basement and we lost everything. The freezer has had 2 more times where it was left open. thankfully, those time we have caught it sooner. I decided to give this key a try after the last time it happened.Sure enough, it FITS!!I was surprised the kid pops out too. Now I have a freezer that can be locked and we wont lose any more food. awesome!
