Nice windshield cover
magnets are not strong enough for windy days but like this windshield cover otherwise.

Good for frost and snow but not rain
The cover does a nice job in freezing conditions, but it's not waterproof in a heavy rain.If it rains, then freezes, this may get frozen to the windshield.Note - this product does not advertise itself to be used for protection from-rain, so it's not a criticism.

Great for dry snow and for sun protection, but do NOT use this in the rain or....cold/moist weather
To start, I will say this cover fit my windshield perfectly (2017 Chevy Volt), and I like the straps and stretchy fabric handles to keep it secure in the wind and to discourage people stealing it.When snow piles up on this thing (so long as it is not a MASSIVE amount), it is easy and simple to just pull the whole thing off and take all the snow with it. Thumbs up for that. When its a sunny hot day, this thing works great as a sunshield keep your windshield clean from pollen deposits, dust, and other random debris. (Thankfully have not had any bird poop on it yet, but it would protect from that as well. I just dont know how washable this is)Why this thing gets -2 stars though is because I left this on overnight on a cold, slightly moist night. I dont think it fully rained, but there may have been some mist and it was definitely cold enough for a bunch of dew to form. I leave for work before 5am and when I went to pull this off, it was wet and smeared semi-dirty moisture all over my windshield making it look like crap and lessened my visibility. When the snow is DRY, this is great. But god forbid its a sleet type of night, because thing this just turns into a bigger hassle than its worth. To use it hassle-free, I have to guarantee its not going to be wet weather. Which is not really hassle free at all. Because of this, I would recommend only using this for guaranteed DRY snow and hot summer days ONLY. This thing says its made for ice. Ice can be wet....this will just smear it everywhere and you're better off with one of those squeegees.

Good, But With a Little Work, You Can Make it Great
I wanted something to cover my windshield on the outside to keep the snow and frost off in winter and to keep the sun out in summer. This windshield cover was close to what I was looking for, but not exactly. First off, I don't like the little side flaps that you are supposed to close behind the front doors. I did not want to take the chance of permanently deforming the rubber seals around the doors. This could cause water and air leaks around the doors. So... I used a seam ripper and took off the little side flaps. Then I had the problem that the top of the windshield cover would not stay in place on a windy day. I noticed they use six small magnets to hold the bottom edge on the hood. I figured six small magnets across the top would hold the top edge to the roof. I purchased these magnets: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0BC9QBJPV/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1Then I used a seam ripper to open six evenly spaced areas on the top edge. Next I separated the two layers of fabric and inserted the magnets. Finally, I used a sewing machine to close up the two areas where the little side flaps were removed and the six areas where the magnets were inserted. Now this windshield cover stays in place when the wind blows and the rubber seals around my doors are NOT deformed. The final improvement I made to this windshield cover was to make it water repellent by spraying both sides with this product. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01KZLKN78?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_detailsNow I have a great windshield cover.

Secure
It perfectly fits my cars windshield. The tabs securely stay in the doors and the loops fit over the side mirrors. I would strongly recommend to anyone who wants to protect their windshield from frost, snow or sun.

Would not recommend if you have wind to contend with over 15 MPH gusts
I have an SUV, and was satisfied it would cover most of the windshield that I would need to drive safely. It is lightweight and the magnets at bottom held fairly well. Elastic straps (to use around side mirrors) are cheap and I expect will wear out. They were already getting stretched out in the wind. (Gusts were up to 25 MPH.) I prepared the windward side first so the cover would be blowing the right way when I secured the leeward side. The flaps could use something to keep them from pulling out once you have closed the door. It is so lightweight, it acted like a sail and the leeward side took some effort to catch and secure. the "mirror mittens were a bit hard to attach in very cold weather. Neighbors probably got a good laugh. I did some final adjustments to make sure it was taut. I went back into the house, and checked 15 minutes later. The cover had come loose and was waving all around. The only good thing was due to all of that effort, we did not get hit with any significant amount of snow or sleet. I tried my best, but cannot give this a thumbs up. I may try it in the summer to reflect the sun.
