Exquisitely Designed and a Great Conversation Piece
This is exquisite. The box it comes in is a work of art, then open it and find this amazing sundial-slash-compass. Not enough sun during the day since I received it so can’t rate its accuracy. But truthfully, it’s such a lovely conversation piece that accuracy is secondary. The very day I got it a friend came over and was drawn to the box. When she opened it, she spent 30 minutes just looking at it and admiring it.A great gift for someone interested in maritime navigation or as a beautiful and unique piece on top of a desk.

Beautiful BUT
I was so excited to get this and gave it 5 stars, but the smell is SO bad that I can't even keep it in the house. I put it outside to air out for over a week, and it stills smells like the musty inside of a cargo ship. What a shame.
