Not just for espresso drinks!
WIth 70 reviews, so far, there is plenty of information here to help you decide to buy this thing. But there are some cool things that haven't been mentioned, so I'll do that here.1. You can use this with drip coffee drinks. It adds a lot to the texture of drip coffee that the mixers can't. Coffee purists will think you're a dork, but don't let them get in the way of a good time.2. You can froth with the cover off. Using a digital thermometer, I measured the temperature of the milk at the bottom, below the foam, to be 150° at the end of the heated frothing cycle. So, all the coffee nerds will tell you it needs to be 160°. If you notice or this is otherwise a problem for you, and you're pouring this over drip, set the temperature higher on your drip machine. On my Cuisinart SS-700 Single Serve Brewing System, Silver - Powered by Keurig, I can set it to spit out 192°. Adding the foam, it makes a wonderfully hot cup of coffee.3. This thing makes wonderful microfoam every time with non-fat or low-fat (2%) milk. With a steamer, you'd have to pay serious attention to your technique to get this nice of a foam. Your local Starbucks doesn't make that kind of effort.4. You're not going to pour any artwork with it, as there is no spout.5. The ideal amount of milk might be above or below the "max" line depending on the type of milk. With non-fat, I use the max line or below, and there's still enough liquid to pour at the end. With 2%, I fill a tad above the "max" line so there's a little milk left to help rinse the foam out with it.6. Cleaning... One reviewer suggested a cold frothing cycle with some water after each use. That works great. If you use low-fat or higher fat milk, you might also hit it with a damp paper towel after the water cycle to get a little bit of crud off the bottom before it builds up.7. Instructions aren't totally clear. There are two wands. The one with the coils makes the foam. The other is just for heating milk.8. Iced coffee. Amazing. I make it with my Cuisinart, 4 oz over ice cubes, pour in some non-fat foam. Nice taste and texture.9. Storage. Doesn't take much counter space. I leave the unit unattached from the base, and the top on the unit, with the wand on the top. There is concern that some magnet in here might wear out if it's all left together. Not too clear, but it doesn't take much room.

Works better than ALL the rest!
This frother May costs a little more but it is awesome! It works at the touch of a button. They all do…you say? Well…no, they all don’t. The Bodum allows one swirl, will not reset & let you do it again. The Keriug is good but not as smooth as the Neapresso & the stupid cog inside doesn’t have a raised plastic pin on the cog so one with medium hands can pull it out. The Neapresso does! And this one is great. It’s a heavier frother, so for all over pick, the money invested is worth it!

Nespresso Aeroccino3
Love the new look of the Aeroccino3 and I heard a lot of great reviews about it before purchasing it, so I had to buy it. After receiving it from FedEx I immediately went to the kitchen and put the Aeroccino3 to the test with my first cup. The instructions were very easy to follow and the unit is very quiet while running. Even if you were to take the lid off you could not hear it a few feet away. I tried frothing both ways (thick & fluffy) and the only downside was the temperature. I would have like my milk to be hotter but the consistency was spot on. My only thought on how to fix the problem would be to warm the milk first via stove top or microwave. If I had to do it all over again I would still purchase this product but a suggestion to Nespresso would be to lower the price point. My consumer price point on this product would be $50 to $60 and $60 would really be pushing it.If you're looking for a milk frother then this could be the answer for you, but my only recommendation would to really shop this around (ebay, Froogle and Amazon) and find one selling at a lower price point. As my teachers and professors always said, "it pays to do your homework."

Milk Frothing (and heating!) Made Easy
I originally purchased the Nespresso Aeroccino 3 as a Christmas gift for my mom since she re-discovered her love for cappuccinos during a recent vacation. In the end, it kind of became a gift for the whole family!Since I'm a complete noob in the world of coffee, I did some research and figured that all I needed for my mom's gift was a well-functioning milk frother since we already own a stovetop espresso maker. In case this helps anyone looking to purchase the Aeroccino as a gift for someone, I chose to buy this machine because I was afraid of giving my mother a gift that would become a chore, so I chose this device over a handheld frother. Once our holiday gifts were exchanged and I was finally able to explain the logic behind my gift to my mom, she completely agreed that this was the best option.Anyways, I was immediately sold on this machine's features the moment I found it online. The Aeroccino not only froths the milk, but warms it up in mere seconds! It's also very space efficient, which is a huge must for our tight quarters, and I love that it comes with a small storage compartment for the unused spinner. My mom and I are huge fans of this feature because we could just imagine how quickly that unused spinner would go missing in the Bermuda Triangle of our kitchen lol. You might also be better off using whole milk (or something along those lines) in order to produce more froth, but we've tried this machine on skim milk and it still yields a really nice amount of frothed milk for our coffee.Just to summarize, I have to say that I'm thoroughly pleased with this machine. It works magnificently and our family looks forward to many more yummy cappuccinos! I'm also very thankful to the seller (aSavings) for shipping so promptly, especially at the peak of the holiday shopping season; my order was placed on December 11th and arrived safe and sound two days later on the 13th (love my AmazonPrime!!). Definitely invest in the Nespresso Aeroccino 3 if you're in the market for an excellent user-friendly milk frother :)
