DO NOT USE THE TOOL TO REMOVE THE OLD BUSHINGS, Drill them out with a 1/2" bit
The bushings work great, I just got a new to me 2010 JKUnlimited and the doors were tight when closing, and it took me about 2 hours to get the doors off, so that's why I wanted to replace the bushings. I used the tool to remove the first 3 bushings just using a 3-pound sledgehammer, but quickly mushroomed the ends of the included tool. I had to hit these hard enough that it actually bent the bolts that hold the door hinges in place and moved the hinges a lot. the third bushing removal finished the tool and I had to use my grinder to cut the top of the tool off and drilled it out to about 3/8" and that relieved enough pressure that I pounded it out with a chisel.I learned that it is so much easier to use a 1/2" drill bit and drill the bushings out, it took about 5 minutes to drill out the remaining 5 bushings without scratching anything else. I ran some emrycloth through the hinges before putting the new bushings in and after a few taps with a rubber mallet (The installation tool was destroyed at this point) every thing was done. now I can pull the doors off by myself in just a few minutes.

Great $10 investment and now my doors open and close easily
If you've had seized doors on your JK and they are hard to close these will fix that. My doors now open like they did when my Jeep was new. I used the removal tool that came with the bushings and it worked very well. Most of the old bushings were badly corroded and half of them were very hard to remove, just be patient. After cleaning up the hinges and posts the new bushings slid in pretty easily. All of the doors now open and close very smoothly. I had to adjust the striker plate on the drivers door after installing the bushings but it only needed a slight adjustment to close easily. Great purchase so far and much cheaper than other brands, we'll see how they last.

Buy metal
These work but buy metal. It will last longer.

Dang good value.
Replaced the stock JK bushings with these. My doors swing smooth and are soooo easy to pull off now! Oh there are enough bushings to do a 4 door so if you have a 2 door like me you share with a buddy.

Worth every penny if you're a doorless avenger like me!
You won't know how valuable this little tool is until you need it. Works like a charm. The bushings are great too. I'm not sure why jeep doesn't use plastic bushings in the factory. The metal ones on mine were pretty corroded but these ones are far superior.

Good product
Works as advertised

Does not fit too wide
Even though it says it fits it doesn't. They are too fat. When you attempt to put into hindge you damage the fitting and it just crumbles.

One Year Later Still Closing Perfect!
I used this kit to replace the door bushings in my wife's 2013 Wrangler. The removal tool made it pretty easy to remove the old bushings.Don't expect the old ones to pop right out, they're worn out and seized in there, that's why your replacing them! I used some penetrating oil (WD-40 also works) soaking them down then tapping little by little. Try and get the oil down between the bushings and the hinge, this helps loosen up the grime.Clean up the hinge, pop the new ones in and grease them up. Doors closed like brand new! It's been over a year and these bushings are still holding up strong!Bonus: This kit comes with bushings for a 4 door Jeep. If you have a 2 door like us you have 2 full sets!
