V350 350mm Hot Cold Roll Laminator
This is a baby version of what I used to have at my printing job. For the money, it isn't really bad. The main negative is the spool roller size. You can hardly find anything that will fit it. I had to 3D print end caps to fit a larger size roll that is readably available. I use it for clear laminating my stickers. I found a roll of paper on Amazon that I load on the bottom roller. Then I load the laminate on the top roller. This way I can put a 8.5"x11" sheet of sticker material through it. Once I get it through I cut it off the roll. Then I lay it down on the table and trim the 8.5"x11" sheet out in which makes the extra paper on the bottom come off. It makes a perfect laminated sheet. Now a couple of things are a pain. You have to loosen the pinch roller screws all the way before you load the materials through. They are located on the front left and right of the pinch rollers. Then take a piece of laser printer paper and cut a little 1/2" strip off. Insert it on the right side of the two rollers first and start tightening the right screw down until you can just pull it in and out of the two pinch rollers without it holding the paper. Then repeat the same thing on the left side. This gets your pressure just perfect. If you don't do this the two rolls will start tracking off of each other and ripple the clear laminate. The other thing is you have to make sure your vinyl is attached to the inside cardboard spool. You have to tape it to keep your vinyl tight on the roll. You use masking tape on each end all over the sides. This keeps the material attached once you pull the tape off to unroll and load the material. What happens if you don't do this is the material will all start to unspool off the roll. This procedure is very important if you want to succeed. I hope this helps others.
