I love this scent! It's a really clean, musky sandalwood; I get a lot of complements when people come over.If you're reading the comments and are worried about the people saying (any of) the bottle fragrances smell like alcohol, they do... however this is not what you smell when it is actually burning in the lamp.Also, if you'd like the fragrance to last longer, you can mix about 1:1 ratio (give or take your preference) fragrance and 91% (or higher) alcohol. This will dilute the fragrance a bit, if you'd like it toned down or if you're using it in a small space. You can also make your own fragrances with alcohol and essential oils. Hope that helps. :)

We love the warmth of Charleston, but Velvet of the Orient's top and heart notes are as big and bold as its base. The scent is curious, whimsical, and soothing; it carries you up and out into discovery, rather than to direct you down within to dwell. If Charleston is being enthralled by a great book, Velvet of the Orient is being intrigued by a great painting. My home finally has a scent that matches its aesthetic and intention.

Found one of my old Lampe Berger lamps and started using it again. Here are the fragrances I've purchased in the last few months. Service from this vendor has been great. I haven't had any issues with spillage and it's nice to be able to come to one place and find all the scents I might want to try.Charleston - I started using this fragrance in the early 2000s and it is still a favorite. It is a strong fragrance that will fill a room in minutes.Pure White Tea - This is fast becoming a new favorite. Very clean smell. Moderately strong but not overpowering. Smells a bit like an expensive spa type soap. If you want clean, you can't go wrong with this fragrance.Orange Cinnamon - I was very disapointed in this one. All I could smell was the cinnamon. Not an unpleasant smell, just wasn't what I was hoping for. My favorite tea is orange spice and it didn't smell like that at all.Borneo Teak Wood - I just got this one and it is wonderful. It smells a bit like your favorite men's fragrance that even a woman would want to wear. Definitely can smell the sandalwood in it which is one of my favorite scents. This is not a very strong fragrance though so if you are looking to fill a large room (in my case, kitchen, dining room and living room all open to eachother), this one will struggle.Creme Brulee - As expected, this smelled like vanilla but not my favorite vanilla smell. It seemed just a bit off but could never place my finger on what it was I didn't like about it. It wasn't a bad smell just not as good as I thought it could be.

Important to know that you should only put enough in for one burn at a time. The wick soaks it up.

Smells so good. It's a different fragrance than I usually buy but this will be my go to until the holidays.

I only order this scent of lampe berger scent Amber Powder as the smell is magnificent and you only need to put it on for 20 minutes to have a nice clean smell in your home. (If you cook Fish, this will eliminate the smell) I get many compliments from my friends when they come into my home. I have my sister order this scent as she has tried some other scents, but came back to Amber Powder

I’ve used the Lampe Berger products for many years. This oil, like all of the others in their product line, is a bit pricey but very effective. It is definitely worth the money.
