*WARNING - CHECK HOLE SIZE ON TRAILER*(Review Below - Read Cautionary Tale First)I ordered this jack because the current one bent when it caught the lip of a pothole in a low spot in the road on a camping trip. Ive had several trailers with various types of jacks and this one is as good as Ive had. Absolutely a great jack for the cost, BUT MAKE SURE you check/measure the diameter of the hole in your frame before ordering. The housing tube on this jack has an OD (outer diameter) of right about 2-1/4” (or 2.25), while the OD of the inner column is 2-1/8, give or take a tiny degree here or there. I’ve included pictures of my trailer, which actually has two separate holes. If your trailer does too - you need to (1) check the OD of the top hole; (2) check the OD of bottom hole; and (3) measure the distance between where the mounting plate will sit and the second hole that the jack must pass through. As you can see in the pics, the OD of the top hole on my trailer is 2-1/4 so no problem there. However, the second hole has an OD of about 2-1/16. When I tried to mount the jack, the inner column wouldn’t pass through the second hole. That wasn’t such a big deal, but then I realized that the larger, outer housing must also pass through the second hole in order for the mounting plate to sit properly on the frame. There is quite a bit of distance between the mounting plate and the end of the housing tube. This is why I suggested measuring the distance between the top of the frame where mounting plate will be seated, and the second hole. All of these issues should be clear from pics I’ve included. Overall, it’s my fault for not doing my due diligence before ordering. Bottom line - take the time to understand exactly what your specific needs are for your trailer before ordering.*REVIEW*Besides the fit issue, Argus really is a great little jack. Has real smooth and easy gear rotation, and it isn’t like a worm gear that takes of rotations to get any meaningful extension of the column. Wish it was the right size, but oh well. Still recommend. In fact, I like this jack so much, I’m not returning it despite the size problem. I’m either going to put it on a utility trailer I just bought, or use it to raise/lower a miter saw on my work bench. Actually came out on top. I can tell my wife I have to buy another jack and don’t have to ask her about buying another lift mechanism for my saw. Worked out perfectly! Hope this helps.

Put it on my utility trailer with a truck bed camper on it, I was afraid it wouldn't be able to pick up the front of the trailer with how much tounge weight i have but surprisingly it does it with no issue. Goes up and down like there's only 10 pounds on it, would definitely buy again.

Good heavy duty jack

Used to replace my electric tongue jack that bit the dust. Not a bad price. Bolted right on with no needed adjustments. Being used on a 33 foot camper. And the only thing I see is the mechanism is going to hit my propane set up. But hey beats using a bottle jack.

This jack is very good for the money. I was initially sceptical because of the price, however it has proven to be a great value. It works great and is very smooth to operate.

Perfect fit for my single axle cargo trailer. Make sure the replacement you choose has the correct load range as your trailer and you’re good to go. It doesn’t come with a wheel or skid plate so remember that, because I don’t like putting the jack tube in the dirt! Hope this helps.
