Analog sound, great for classic Jazz recording from the 50's to 60's. Lush rich sound.
This is the best USB cable I've ever had. It has an analog sound with a wider and deeper soundstage. Great for old Jazz recording where saxophones could sound a little bright. This will not emphasize the upper midrange. The cable won't draw attention to itself. My USB cable journey started with Wireworld Chroma to Starlite then to Pangea Audio Premier XL MKII USB Cable. They are all great cables and they improved my system. I always used a short cable, but now I needed a longer one because of how I arranged my system. So I just picked this one to try. I was so surprised how good it sounded. I'm listening to recordings I thought were on the bright side. They sound lush and 3-dimensional now. So enjoyable. No emphasis on either end of the sound spectrum. Bass is controlled as well. How can a $10 cable sound so good. It shows the engineering is what matters and materials only after that. Anyone who knows about cable design could see that a lot of smart cost-cutting engineering went into this cable. Respect to the engineer!

Music instrument quality cable
Great quality cable. I use it to connect a synthesier to my laptop, running MIDI-over-USB. Worth paying for over and above the basics.

Good for the price
For what it costs, it's a very good cable. If you're someone that is skeptical that a USB cable can make a difference in audio quality and you have a DAC that came with a cheap cable, give one of these a try and you will instantly hear the difference. This cable has a very distinct sound, which is unfortunately also it's downside. The sound profile it gives definitely alters certain frequencies and is therefore not balanced sound which is probably the most important thing for a cable to deliver. The bass and treble are noticeably increased at certain frequencies and the soundstage sounds wrong. That being said, it's a huge upgrade over a junk cable and at a pretty decent price. I ended up upgrading to an Oyaide Neo D+ class A and didn't regret it even a little. It's 10 times the price of this cable (comparing the 1m version of each) and only offers subtle improvements, but those subtle improvements make the biggest difference.

Um...yeah...worth the cash.
I am not one of those "100.00 dollar cables make all the difference in the world!" guys. I have a 100.00 US cable sitting in a box under my desk because it sounds worse to me than the one that came with the Topping DAC I bought.I can say that the cable that comes with most DACs should be replaced. Most of them are cr*** and should be used as a backup only.I usually buy the Chroma Cables but I decided to give this one a shot and damn! Sounds a heck of a lot better than the stock one that came with the Topping DAC. The soundstage sounds better to me and a bit fuller overall. I am not saying this will make you stand up and say "this is the greatest cable ever!" but for the $10 spot I spent on it (I got a little coupon with mine)., I'm keeping it.Good cable.
