This large face clock is silent and beautiful. Easy to read clock face and substantial body fits my entertainment cabinet perfectly. Just the usual clock works inside a large case. A little tricky to get the AA battery inside with my short fingers, but I managed. Nice addition to any decor.

The wood is looks great on my mantle. There is no ticking to the seconds hand. It is a silent, smooth sweep. So fr, this clock seems perfect.

I rarely write reviews but I had to say something about this beautiful clock. First of all, it’s real wood and it is stunning. It looks even better in person than it did online. It’s the perfect size for my mantle and so far the time has stayed accurate. I would highly recommend. You won’t be disappointed.

Got this clock to replace a mantel clock that refused to run any longer. Amazon had the lowest price on this item, and I am pleased with its appearance and performance. Only downside is that the back cavity is very large, and the battery holder at the bottom, close to the clock face. It made it more challenging to insert the batteries than my previous clock, but not impossible.

I have been trying desperately to find a silent, or nearly silent, analog clock for my music room. The last thing I need is a noisy clock competing for my ears' attention. But I also want something with a nice classic look. This one was my fourth try on Amazon. It is NOT silent, as advertised. No, it is Loud!It does look nice, but looks aren't everything.

It’s definitely quiet. The only negative I can think about is that it’s very hard to change the time and add the battery. Otherwise it’s a great clock beautiful size you can see from across the room.

I was hesitant to pay this much for a clock, but the last one we had quit and cannot be fixed, so this was the closest to what we had and liked. We were never bothered by the old clock's quiet ticking, but the smooth second hand on this clock is so much better. It just sweeps around the dial, no ticking or jerking from second to second. Really a great clock for a quiet space. You will never be bothered by it. The wood looks nice and looks to have quality workmanship.
