FROGG TOGGSMen's Ultra-Lite2 2-Layer Waterproof Breathable Rain Suit

Good Rain Gear, Not for Rugged Conditions However
My husband is a conductor for the Rail Road and has to get off the train in wet conditions many times. He needed a rain suit that can be carried with him in his backpack and not take up much room. I found this one by Frogg Toggs and he loves it. The price was right so I purchased it. It is very light weight and takes up minimal room in his back pack. He loves the Khaki color instead of the normal banana yellow. We ordered it in XL and it fit him perfectly over his work clothes. The last suit he had we ordered a 2XL thinking he would need the extra room since he's a XL/2XL in clothes. He's 6'0 tall and weighs about 230 lbs. and the XL fit him nicely not too tight or too loose. The quality is a little better than expected for an inexpensive suit, and the Frogg Toggs is a reputable brand. It comes in a nice bag that you can fold the suit back into when not in use. Here are the pros and cons of this set as we found them even with several cons this set still gets a slid 5 stars from us.Pros:-Great Price-Many Sizes and Colors Available-Fit Wonderfully-Very Lightweight, Great when you have minimal storage-Material is breathable and moveableCons:-No access slits to pants underneath.-No pockets in Jacket or Pants. (Guess that's to help keep out the rain)-No zipper access for using the bathroom.-Might could use a drawstring on the pants.-The material tears easy if it gets caught but can be repaired with duct tape easily-No elastic bottoms on pants and this would be helpful.A few suggestions as this is our second rain suit purchase. Our first was Dri-Ducks by Frogg Toggs. BTW we like this set better but I digress. First suggestion. Order your size, don't order a size bigger thinking you'll need it bigger to go over your clothes. The product allows for clothing underneath in it's design. I would suggest this for yard work, dog walking, and working conditions where there’s not a lot of strenous movement. I would not suggest it for motorcycle gear.*I paid full price for this product and hope that you have found this review useful to you in some way.

Simply the best value available in waterproof gear. Skeptical? Don't be. See below.
15 years ago on a fishing/camping trip to remote Canada a good friend brought the first Frog Toggs I ever saw. Frankly we filleted and fried him over this "paper" rain gear for a week in remote Canada. She time this week it WILL rain on us out in the boat and at camp. "yer gonna get wet Jerry you cheap cuss". Swell let it suffice to say he did NOT get wet. He stayed perfectly dry. Just as dry as those of us in $350 worth of GoreTex. Remember ladies, these cost $20 for the set (Jacket & Pant) So naturally I needed a set & have had one inhan ever since.Any drawbacks/negatives ?: Yes a few. The material is NOT Tyvek, like so many have said. It feels like Tyvek in that its is like a paper permeated with something. Its a non-woven product like Tyvek. Its a little stiff when you first get it. When it wears in its less stiff & less so when in the rain. Does it work? Yes it works as well as super expensive stuff. It just says something goofy in it instead of Patagonia, North Face or Orris. And you won't be as stylish as this other apes. They also are a but more fragile. Jerry tore the arm on a sharp branch getting out of the boat. Honestly that may have occurred no matter what jacket he had one. Who knows. But frankly I've torn just about every expensive rain suit I have bought over the years. Lots of stuff to snag camping & fishing for a week. Remember this cost $20!Positives: They are $20 for a set gang. OK if you trash them the first year, but you probably won't. Maybe keep your GoreTex cause it may be more comfortable, but have a set of these too. I am 5'11" - 175 pounds and medium fits perfectly over normal amount of cloths. If you will be wearing it over other semi heavy cloths, get a size bigger. Otherwise they run a bit on the large size assuming it is over other cloths. Buy a pair a full size larger to wear over heavy winter cloths. But remember they are a bit more fragile than some other waterproof gear. But you know not as fragile as you'd think. They actually seem to wear well in the seat and knees. This Tyvek like BREATHABLE stuff is pretty tough. Tougher than you think it will be.

Read and believe the reviews....
I have bought this lower line of Frogg Toggs multiple times in the past. They never lasted very long but for the price they were fine. They definitely keep the rain out...except see below, and they were inexpensive.I bought these for a fishing trip to Canada. I've bought them before and they were fine for the money. Several reviewers did mention that the butt seam split on them but I figured I only needed them for a week of easy use (sitting in a boat) and they were only $20ish.We found ourselves in a heavy rain shower and the Frogg Toggs were preforming well until I noticed by pants getting soaked. I stood up and my friend in the boat told me the entire back seam of the pants had split. This rain suit fit properly, it was not too small. My advice, don't buy these.

Great, if you’re not moving
Needed an affordable and rapid replacement for upcoming hike. I’ll be honest, they exceeded expectations. They survived 2 days of torrential downpours and 70+ mph winds with gusts over 100 mph. HOWEVER - they did not survive walking. The crotch seam split immediately after putting the pants on, my wives pants blew out while putting on, so we wandered around with waterproof chaps. The pants would benefit from a gusseted crotch allowing for more flexibility and mobility, as well as draw strings on the waist and on the ankles as they kept falling off and getting caught under our boots. The top held up just fine, I would love to see a waterproof zipper because the wind blows the flap open and the zipper starts to let water in. Also, it took 4-5 hours before they started to wet out. Not bad for $30. Overall I give them a 4 because the pants suck, and the zipper for the top isn’t great but the price is very accessible.Fit: I’m 6’1” 185lbs I got a medium. The top was too short in the arms and the pants were too big and long.
