I installed this alternator and it is functioning great. The alternator came complete with new nut and washer. It feature high quality casting and machining.

I installed this alternator a few days ago in a 1999 Ford Ranger (2.5L engine) to replace one with seized bearings. In terms of fit to mounting bolts and position of electrical connections, this item appears to be an exact match for the Motorcraft-branded part I removed. The new item looked clean and well-assembled with no loose pieces, and the shaft spun easily and quietly. The alternator in this truck is pretty easy to access, so the swap was done in under an hour including some help from the kids. Truck started and ran fine on a short test drive around the neighborhood. I'll plan to update review this if there are any unexpected issues.

Installed in 2000 Ford F-150 4.2L seven years ago . No problems .

Purchased this New Alternator as a replacement for my 2000 Ford E-150 Van. It took a week to get delivered to me. Decided to install it today. Took the original out of my Van this afternoon then took the new one out of the box. Right away I could see the new one was smaller then the one installed from the Ford Factory. Mounting point bolt holes all lined up and everything else matched on the back of the alternator as far as electrical connections were concerned. Started my Van up and tested the charge at the battery with my load/charge tester. Reading a high 14 volts just under 15 on the analog meter. Took the Van for a ride of 8 miles and all seems to be good to go. Time will tell how long it lasts. Got 17 years out of the original Motorcraft so no complaints there. Just hope this alternator is able to keep up being I believe the original one must put out more power being it is bigger. Looked around the factory alternator to see if Ford printed any information on my original like I have seen on so many alternators in the past but saw nothing. Amazon says this is the replacement Alternator for my car and it is working fine so far.

It appears to be identical to the OEM, even though I know it isn't. But it work just fine for me.

Installed this on a1994 Ford Ranger XLT extended cab, 2.3L4 cylinder with 5 speed M5OD transmission. Purchased it to replace the old alternator whereas the bearing was ready to quit. Installation was a bit of a hassle but that has nothing to do with the alternator itself, just a lack of space to work. Works great especially on those cold 30 degree mornings.NOTE: measure the length of the pulley between the grooves to ensure that the belt fits without any gap space.
