Unclear when ordering if dimmer and remote are included.
Lights were fine. Unfortunately I ordered the actinic and daylight fixtures seperately. It's not made clear when looking at the details what the power hookup is, or whetherthe dimmer feature is included when buying lights seperately. I inquired whether or notI could purchase remote and dimmer seperately. ( have not heard back ) I don't want toreturn both and have to re-purchase in order to get what I want. But to be clear, the 12" lights will be perfect for a saltwater nano reef tank. Remote anddimmer feature will be needed however.

Nice light
Nice white light, you would need about 6-8 of these to make a 75 gallon reef tank well lit.

Bright!
I bought two of these for my 12 gallon nano tank. There was so much light that I had to dim them. After several months, the plants are doing well, and there is no sign of algae!

Cost is very reasonable (got better prices dealing direct)
I purchased two of the 48" 8000k reef bars, power supply, and sun setter timer direct from 21 LED for a 90 gallon tank I am setting up. I do not have any real world result from them on how they will do with growing plants yet, but I will follow up after I have some use with them. As far as cost, construction, and dealing with 21 LED; no complaints only positives. Cost is very reasonable (got better prices dealing direct), construction is solid and they are well made, and Billy at 21 LED answered all of my questions and was great to talk to about the products. I think the ReefBars and the sun setter timer are a great alternative to the Current-USA TrueLumens and Pro Timer and they are a fraction of the cost. I got 2 reef bars, power supply, extension cables, and sun setter timer for less than the cost of one TrueLumens bar. I hope the old saying "You get what you pay for" does not come back to haunt me but I figured I can buy about 6 reef bars for what one TrueLumen cost.My only negative to the Reefbar is the the plugs on each end of the the bar. They are great for giving you options and adding more bars but as far a looking neat and clean on your tank, that would be a concern if you do not have a canopy to hide all of the wires and connections. I have a canopy to this was not a problem or concern for me.3/16/15 Update - (Let me start out by saying I am not an expert at growing plants but I have been successful in keeping java ferns and anubias and amazon swords. When I say keeping meaning they do not die and they are growing. I do not use CO2, but are using some root tabs and Seachem Flourish) Lights have been running on my 90 gallon low tech tank with anubias and java ferns on my spider wood since mid October. Love the timer. I've been playing around intensity of the lights. Started out running channel 1 at about 80% for about 16 hours and channels 2 at 100% for 4 hours. Plants started slow but java ferns and anubias are slow growers so don't know if that is normal or the lights or ferts or what. Do not have any issue with algae. Get some brown algae on anubias leaves and some on glass but it is easily clean each week. Conclusion - I am happy with lights and timer and all for what I spent.
