In the description, it says the blade's 3.7". Is the actual cutting edge really that long? Also, does anyone know how thick the blade stock is? Thanks

The overall length is about 3.5". The blades cutting edge is 1 1/2". The thickness is roughly 1/8 ".

I wish to buy this while traveling throughout the USA, in what states is carrying this illegal?

I don't own this, but I know u def. don't want to carry it in D.C. As long as ur not flashing it around I believe u can carry it around in NYC too, not too sure, just CC it.Boston only allow u to carry 2.5" blades, the description says 3.7" but I doubt it's that long (last time I went there was a few months ago).I also travel around a lot across the US and I always bring w/ me some sort of cutting tool. Just look up the laws to where u're gonna travel to. It'll only take u ~30min tops.Hope this helps a bit :)-Kenny

After you have it stuffed full, does the arm recover to fully closed? I've had this issue with other non-hinged money clips.

I've read the reviews and I've had no issues. I usually keep 10 bills folded up in there at all times with no issues. Blade always is able to be extracted and the clip stays tight. It's not your tipical money clip. Very industrially made, with heavy steel. Bought five for the officers in my FD, and they love them. One issue may be that they are a little big and heavy. Will definitely last for a long time.
