I'm in love
Beautiful artwork and layouts. Was worried I'd be shorting myself not getting the pricier deluxe version, but no longer have that concern. Thick cover stock, thick pages, and awesome "presence" sitting on a table or shelf. Love how it covers the history, the games, and the characters. Just an all-around good pickup for a Street Fighter fan.

Really good, but not great
Features amazing artwork from the entire franchise. Pretty comprehensive look at Street Fighter’s history, influences, and it’s impact on video games and pop culture. Only drawback is that it’s littered with inaccuracies and/or possibly typos. Still enjoyed it though.

The ultimate book for any Street Fighter fan! It's more like a History/Biography book with a ton of artwork thrown in. Didn't care much for the Toys section though. Gave this to my friend as a gift and he was very happy with it.

SF History l
Very thick art book with many things to reference from SF. Pretty much everything you need to know when it comes to history of the game.

Lots of interesting history and great layout of the book itself
Longtime fan of the Street Fighter II franchise. Lots of interesting history and great layout of the book itself. Very pleased with it. Not a players guide at all, in case you were wondering. Something to just overuse through. Well worth it for me.

Muy buen artbook que cuentan datos, historia, juegos, películas (live action o animadas) sobre esta serie. Si eres fan deberías tenerlo.

Happy 30th anniversary.
OK first of all its not a art book is more like a history and resume for all the street fighter universe. Witch is not a bad thing i have enjoy the book for what it is. Amazing quality and information a must have for the hardcore of the series.

Beautiful book that lays true homage to the SF legacy
This book simply blew all my expectations away. I knew it would be an extensive historical account of the street fighter franchise in all its many incarnations, what I didn't expect was just how beautiful it would be. The outer cover is somewhat bland and colour deprived, so to open it and see the inside of the book so totally saturated in vibrant colours and stunning design was a real surprise. From the character sketches, the anime look visuals, the digitised sprites and up to their stunning new Street Fighter V incarnations, it's a truly breathtaking homage to the game which had enthralled so many gaming fans for the past few decades. So why only four stars and not five?Despite the stunning visuals and intensive design, it does fall slightly short of being perfect for a couple of reasons, mainly due to the lack of material for some characters.Whilst your Kens and Ryus get anywhere between 4-6 pages of designs, screenshots, storyline screens and info, other characters only get one page. Now whilst I can understand that for a lesser character that merely appeared once, there may not be a lot to show or say, when it's on a big fan favourite character like Rose (for example) it's just kind of head scratching, because that artwork, multiple costumes , comic and anime appearances, and storyline is out there, to not include it and not dedicate any space to such fan favourites is just kind of head scratching, and just gives the impression that perhaps some characters aren't to the author's personal taste and so we're not dedicated very much space. A prime example of this would be that Dudley receives a double page spread (despite being fairly unpopular and there not being many art, costumes or storyline for him) whilst more renowned and popular characters like Rose, Poison, Guy and Cody only receive a single page.To add to this some characters aren't even included at all, for example there's a section on M.Bison's 'Dolls', his warrior fighters that wear a Shadoloo uniform, however despite there famously being around ten of them, the only three we actually see included are DeCapre - who only showed up a few years ago as Cammy's younger sister, and Juni and Juli. As it is DeCapre should have had a dedicated page as a playable characters instead she's thrown in with the other two as a mention.I get that it's an expansive universe and the author has only covered the playable characters, however, with a lot of the dolls appearing as fighters in SFV that you battle against, like Enero, Satsuki and Santamu, it feels criminal to not include them. Even if they'd just had a page with the main character artworks by Capcom or Udon with a couple of SFV PlayStation screengrabs, that would have sufficed to provide them with some acknowledgement, it just makes it feel a little incomplete. Finally, I know works like this are a long time in development, and with the latest strategy on 'seasons' it would be impossible to keep on top of the characters in the game for more than a year. With the timing however, and this book being released at the same time as the Season 3 characters have just been revealed' it just adds to the feeling that the book is incomplete as characters such as Blanka, Cody and Sagat don't have their SFV designs included, and the new characters such as G and Falke (the new 'doll') have no coverage whatsoever. Not the authors fault since he was surely working far far in advance and would not have had access to the images and information that ahead of time, but just something that SF fans will notably pick up on when reading through the book. These are only minor gripes in what is otherwise such a beautiful item, so much so that it makes any minor flaw all the more apparent, so it can only be a credit to the quality of the writer and graphic designer that any minor flaw does stand out. Still, perhaps this means the author will be able to release an updated volume in the future with more space for these characters, and the new contenders added and included. All in all, if you love Street Fighter you will love this book, buy it, you won't regret it, it's amazing, falling only minortly short of perfection.

Informative.
I thought this book would have loads of sprite data and animation info as with similar books I have, instead it has more interviews. Which isn't a bad thing as they are very interesting.. Recommended.
