First, 5 stars does not mean perfect. No, the repairs are not invisible. But they are very good and not very noticeable unless you are looking for them. Kind of like that small scratch on your car that no one else notices. I bought this kit about a year ago and, frankly, was a bit afraid to use it. DIY repair products often over-promise results and understate the difficulty of use. So, given that I bought this to repair a tear in the red leather rear seat of my car, which was covered by a dog seat cover anyway, I was able to just ignore the tear. However, when I created a small tear and wear marks in the black leather dash of my SUV when I removed a cell phone mount, I decided something had to be done. So, following the directions, I mixed the black and cream colors to arrive at the shade of black of my dash. I applied the mix using the provided spatula and then, to give it the more pebbled look of the leather, I lightly pressed the repaired area with the backing material provided in the kit. To my surprise, the process was quick and easy, taking maybe 15 minutes. And the dash looks great. Being emboldened by this success, I decided to repair the much larger damaged red leather seat in my car. I understood that (1) red is a very difficult color to match and (2) a larger damaged area would still be more noticeable after repair. Many moons ago, not seeing the exact shade of red on the provided chart, I emailed the manufacturer who, upon reviewing my photo and looking up the car's actual trim color, advised me to use red as the primary color and add in burgundy until the color matched (or was slightly lighter as it dries darker). Per those instructions I only added a small amount of the secondary color until it looked like a match. Again I used the provided spatula and spread the mixture over the damaged area. And I again used the backing cloth the smooth out and add texture to the repair. Yes, the repair is noticeable. But it doesn't stand out unless you know where to look. As this repair is on the seat cushion it remains to see how durable it will be. I am a novice at these sort of repairs and similar DIY projects I have attempted in the past have not always turned out great. But, in both cases here, the results were very good. The process was easy. And clean-up was simple. And I saved a ton of money over what professional repair shops wanted. In the picture, in the repaired area, the leather was torn and the backing was exposed. There were also black marks from Velcro. No more tear and the color is a very close match. And this was the first time I used this kit.

Takes a long time to dry. But, it works.

Good concept but matching the color is VERY difficult. Especially since it drys darker than what you mix. Takes a few hours to fully cure. So if the color isn't right ya gotta try again. Comes with a little container to mix and store (up to 24 hrs). So don't have to completely start over. But unless you track how much of each color will be challenging. Love the idea just matching anything other than white or black or one of the available base colors provided is tricky. Custom service was helpful telling me the base and colors to add together so that was a helpful start.

Have a two much loved 35 yo teal leather sofas with serious wear scuffs and cuts. Having the seat cushions recovered was crazy expensive. As an alternative I’ve used sofa covers on the seats but one armrest was impossible to conceal. I bought this repair kit hoping it would work. I was amazed at how easy it was to blend the unusual teal color to match the seat arm. I might give it one more coat but the one coatsso far exceeded expectations. I have also dab color on wearing leather corners and one 2” cut (using the backing fabric) successfully. Website has many helpful tips on repairs. If the company website doesn’t address your specific repair situation, others on you tube videos might. Customer service was extremely responsive and helpful. I will save all the color tubes that come in the kit in case I need to repair another leather item (eg, shoe, purse etc). I showed a few friends and they were amazed. One spent a small fortune to professionally repair a sofa discolored seat Definitely would recommend and buy again.

I originally bought this back in 2021 after my lab mix pushed off the arm of the couch and left a puncture hole. I knew a great match would be a long shot, but I thought the results were terrific! Fast forward 5 years and the puncture opened up again (since my 2 lab mixes continue to push off the same arm of the same couch every day!). I was happy that I had the old kit, thinking I could order the same brand again due to how happy I was with. Because I still had so much of the old product left, I figured I’d try mixing it. It mixed up so well, I tried using it. Once again, great results! Highly recommend this product!

We have a house that is currently standing vacant. The front door is locked with a padlock. One day last year, I was going out to the house to either get something or drop something off. At any rate, I was wearing an NRA life member leather bomber jacket. I had wanted one of these for a long time, but they stopped making them, so I got it from someone else online. Well, I wasn’t paying any attention and rushing to get through the door and the jacket caught on the part of the hasp that attaches to the door frame. The hasp did not give. The leather jacket did. I was devastated. So, I ordered the Coconix Vinyl and Leather Repair Kit from Amazon. Everything needed to make the repair was in the kit. They even included a handy mixing guide, something I have NEVER seen before with any other leather/vinyl repair products (see pic). I was very satisfied with the results. I have a before and after picture included. This was not a big tear; it was only about a half inch. When it comes to finer work, less is more. The rubbing alcohol (used to dilute the repair product down a little) will spread pretty quickly over leather and it’s hard to get detail work with a cotton round (or pad) or a cotton swab. Honestly, I could have taken some more time and made this look better, but my main concern was fixing the hole in the leather so it would not collect water or get hooked on something else. Part of the results is my lack of skill with such things. Much to the chagrin of my wife, I’m not a handy person. At any rate, unless you’re really looking, no one will probably notice. Customer service was excellent. I never had to call, but they contacted me a few times at first to let me know they were there if I needed them. They really want to help make your repair successful. There are a lot of inferior repair products that can be had for less money, but the results will be less than desirable. This product is of high quality and will provide you with great results. Definitely worth the money.

Unless you have a VERY simple color and a VERY, VERY, VERY inconspicuous area to repair, I would avoid this solution. I tried to use on my Tan steering wheel and it's worse than it was before when it was just worn....but now I have an even bigger worn sport after trying to "trim" the area to be patched. I should know this would never work. NO idea how so many people have rated this positively unless the application is very different than mine. Maybe if you repairing a straight black or white item it would be fine, but color matching is impossible and the texture of the product is not good...which I really should have thought about. Lastly, it feels like it's going to rub off on my hands at some point. UPDATE: They were good to their word on refunding if not satisfied and customer service was great from the beginning. With that, if you can make the product work for you, they were fantastic to work with.

Lo he usado para reparar el cuello de una chaqueta de polipiel que se había gastado. He aplicado el producto y casi no se ve. Lo he comprado pensando que no iba a funcionar, pero se ha quedado como nevo. Mi chaqueta es de color burdeos y el color que viene con el producto es idéntico. Lo recomiendo sin ninguna duda

Das Produkt ist nicht gerade billig. Aber wenn man bedenkt wieviel eine neue Ledercouch kostet, dann lohnt es sich schon. Das Reparaturset hat keine deutschsprachige Anleitung. Mich hat das nicht gestört. Ich finde den Gebrauch selbsterklärend. Nur die Farbe habe ich nicht zu 100% getroffen. Auch nicht nach vielen Versuchen. Es ist nicht einfach genau den Farbton zu treffen, obwohl die Packung genug Farben zum mischen enthält. Aber das hat mit dem Produkt nichts zu tun. Also: 1. Gut zu verarbeiten 2. Ergebnis der Reparatur ist in sehr gut. 3. Es klebt sehr gut und zuverlässig und ist sehr ergiebig. Ich kann das Reparaturset auf jeden Fall empfehlen.
