The beeswax helps preserve the olive oil so it will stay fresh until well after the expiration date. I received Reviva's lip conditioner with absolutely zero expiration date and it looked like it was years old. That's why I stopped using it. I buy the 3 pack Portland bee balm and it takes me a year to a year and a half to use up all 3 tubes. The last one is just as fresh as the first.
