My old 2.5 gallon one finally got too plugged up by hard water to change settings. After maybe 15 years or so. And as my wife and I don't use the same settings that is kinda important. This is a good replacement, you can barely tell that it uses less water than the old 2.5 gal one.

these shower heads are so unique to your needs... some like a hard shooter, others soft, some pulse, etc. The build quality of this is a 5 star, all Grohen and HGrohe products are first class... that is why it costs so much more than many shower heads... This is considered a medium size head.... which is perfect for my needs...I like some force... and with the full setting at 1.8 gpm, this is as forceful as heads get these days... not like yesteryear, when it bombarded you with 3+ gpm.... those days are over.. Also I have this head on a flexible hose, so its easy to lift up to hold and move around my body... it fit my needs perfectly hence the 5 stars for use as well...but if you like very soft pressure and wider pattern, obviously this is not the head for you... the unit comes with a rubber cone that goes over the threaded connection... this seems to serve two purposes, first, if it leaks, there, it wont spray on the wall...and when you take it off, assuming on a hose, it your fingers are not on contact with metal... brilliant! I know, small feature, but well thought out...whether you think all this is worth the extra $ vs. lower priced heads, only u can decide that...

The spray is weak and inadequate.

have not had to clean it yet - so DK how easy that will be. Flow restriction makes stream weak compated to original showerhead.

This Hansgrohe is very good if you are looking for a medium size rainfall shower head. Even though there are three settings, it is the "full" setting that makes this product great for some people. If you like a big, soft flow of water but can't accommodate a massive (and high gallon/minute) waterfall shower head, I recommend this product. Because this has a 1.8 gallon/minute flow rate, the full setting does not have much "throw" to it. I would pair this head with an extended shower arm, something like the 9" Hansgrohe (traditional shower arms are in the 6" range). This way you aren't crowded next to the shower wall trying to get under the water. The two other settings on the head, massage and turbo, are not really what this shower head was designed for, so they are compromises that really don't please. Both of them have a small spread. I'm not sure you can get a good low flow massage shower head, so maybe Hansgrohe shouldn't bother. The turbo setting has good power, but it exits the shower head from a small diameter. It ends up having the feel of one of those super-low flow shower heads that you find at gyms and locker rooms. It isn't pleasant. So again, if you are looking for a rainfall type feel, this is a great shower head. If you are looking for something that attempts to please all users equally, then try a different product. I was happy with the product quality and packaging. Installation was very easy, but I've never had a difficult shower head.

My old shower head sprayed too wide and made a mess. This head does a better job of controlling the flow. Alsmost seems like I need higher water pressure. Overall it looks great, feels solid and works great

Bought on amazon because it was cheaper, not worth it should of made the drive to home depot. Hate them now.
