Review: Not quite as petite as you may think - Purchase these for my dad because the regular calcium tablets are humongous. This was comparably petite to the Citracal petites. However, these are round and smaller, but they’re super thick so it’s almost like swallowing a block. Unfortunately, my dad didn’t have his easier time with these as the Citracal petite which are oval and not as thick. With these being a good price, I really hoped they would be the ticket. We’re going to go ahead and use the ones we have, but I won’t be purchasing again. If only they could make these in a oval share that are easier to swallow for elderly people, it would be perfect. My biggest concern was that my 81-year-old father who is vision impaired as well as has dementia would not be able to comfortably take this medicine. I and my children also take them so a variety of ages in our home are able to take it. It's easy to swallow. There's no gritty weird texture. I've never been able to stay consistent with taking calcium because the pills were just so big and difficult and just unenjoyable to take and yet a woman of my age. I definitely needs to stay on top of taking my calcium and so I'm really happy that I found this product and so far I'm very pleased and I will continue to purchase this. My current petites from Sams, no longer made, are 1/2" by 3/8" by maybe 3/8" deep** A: I do not take these. I found them larger than I liked. I take Caltrate minis plus minerals. They are 35% smaller than other pills. I like them because they are coated and goes down easily too. They recommend taking two per day. It is 1600 IU Vitamin D3. I did not know about Sam's pills.
