Strong flavor
When making onigiri, I try to find an almost-overpowering flavor for the filling. These have a strong, salty flavor that slowly fades into a sweetness that pairs perfectly with rice.

So glad I found these umeboshi
Great product, reasonably priced. These umeboshi have a perfect tartness, and a very soft texture. They can be eaten as is with rice or the pit can be removed and the plum used in onigiri. In Japan it is said that for good health you should eat one umeboshi a day. These are so good that I can easily eat every day. Only problem I had one time was the packaging that Amazon sent them in because the container is plastic and can be easily damaged in shipping.

So good
I will be buying again, I love them. They are not the nasty salt-lick umeboshi. These do have a salty taste but reins in the flavor, the after taste is amazing.

It contains Sucralose and not the ingredients listed in the website.
The ingredients on amazon are not the same as listed on the package. It contains Sucralose. The taste was off which is expected given the artificial sweetener. Very disappointed.

Gets the job done at a reasonable price.
This Umeboshi is not the best, but it is acceptable for the occasional onigiri or chazuke. For those who are unfamiliar with Japanese Umeboshi, it is a salty/sour condiment that is meant to be used VERY sparingly - one should not consume more than 1 or 2 of these a day - so while it is made from plums it is not to be confused w/ sweet dried plums and other fruit snacks. This particular Umeboshi is not too strong. At this price point it would be unreasonable to expect premium quality UMEBOSHI, but for the price it’s a better value than what I can find at any local Asian store. Expiration date was about 2 & 1/2 months away, so that’s better than what I usually find at the local Asian stores.

I’m happy I found this product!
This is what I wanted and hard to find around my area. I’m glad I found it! If you like sour pickled plums this is the one with the reasonable price.

Insanely delicious for immediately umeboshi lovers
I really thought I loved the sour, salty umeboshi, but these are so tasty. They're very tangy and sweet with a good bit of salt taste. I would eat the entire package in a day if it was cheaper.
