Us being two average sized females, we had no problem loading the boat up with all of our stuff, and carrying it a quarter mile down to the water. iT is slightly heavy, but once inflated we found it very easy to transport. Once in the water it was pretty easy to steer. The paddle holders are very convenient. Rowing takes a bit of practice but we got it down pretty quickly. The air pump that it comes with is nice for emergencies, but would take quite a while to fill up the whole boat. We have one of those air pumps that you hook up to your car battery and inflated this boat in under 5 minutes. The air-only-in valves make it very easy to inflate. We also love the travel case it comes with. It's surprising that this huge boat can pack down into it, and it's absolutely wonderful for storage. Overall you really get what you pay for with this boat. It's not just some cheap inflatable, but instead a really nice river raft that is very high quality in my opinion. Regarding storage, it is impossible to get it packed as tight as when it first arrives. We got it back in the box but the end could not be closed. There was no storage bag.
