Can this fit a lock shackle that's 6 mm in diameter?

Not shure but it fits most medium locks and works well with the midevile style locks

Is the lock easy to pick? And is it one of those cheaper locks? My family nose as hell and good at picking my locks

It’s a cheap basic one really! I’m no pick but I’m sure if I played with I could get it open! So you may want one of those small more secure luggage/zipper style ones.
