So far so good! Shucked 2 dozen oysters with no problem. The handle is comfortable and the gloves are a bonus! They really help you grip the oyster and wash up nicely. Definitely a great set for the price.

A friend of mine overnighted me some fresh oysters from Washington so I had this overnighted from Amazon. I've shucked oyster before so I knew what I would need. This kit comes with everything you need to get your oysters ready and with there being 2 knives and 2 gloves, you don't have to do it alone. The only thing I wished for was another towel, had to scrounge around the kitchen for another suitable one. The friend I shared the oyster with had never shucked oyster before, but once I showed her how to do it, she was shucking right along! The knives are nice and sharp, and they have the perfect shape so that once inserted into the oyster, a small twist and the meat is separated from the shell without mangling it. The lemon seed catcher is ingenious and it came in handy. I highly recommend this set. Who wants to shuck alone?

Works very well, the point and thickness of the shucker is perfect. I also like the shape that makes easier to dig deep for the bottom of the muscle. Very sturdy and a great value.

Works well! Came with everything you need. I only wish it came with two pairs of gloves so I could have a friend over for a shucking dinner party lol!

Pro: fairly good bargain since you get 2 knives, 2 gloves, a soft cloth/pad, and and lemon squeezer. Con: The knives are a bit weak. They are decently thick and sturdy, but if the oyster is too tough to open, the knives actually start bending! Almost as if they are going to snap if I go too far. Also, the handle size is a bit small. I wish it had a wider grip to get more torque when you're twisting the knife. My take: If I could go back, I would not buy this. Instead, I would invest some money into amazing oyster knives that are more sturdy since that's all you're worrying about when you're trying to get into those delicious oysters. Gloves are nice but could be bought separately. You don't need the lemon squeezer. I usually just use a lemon press to squeeze juice into a bowl beforehand, which is more efficient and less messy anyway.
