Are they heat resistant? Like, can I use them for oven mitts?

No, these are only a novelty item.

Can they actually move on your hand? Like, open and closing? or are they just hard unbendable material?

They can move and hold things too

Would these be way too big for a toddler?

I think they'd be too big. I got them for my 15yr old son and they're adult size. Your toddler could put them on but they'd be pretty big.
