We like these more than our dogs lol we love watching them play with them.

Update after another purchase -- Our dog still loves this, but it gets wet from play (we never submerged it) and there's mold growing on the inside. We tried to seal the small hold it has with hot glue and Gorilla glue but nothing stuck well enough. It still got wet inside, the lights went out, mold grew inside. I won't buy again. I wish the seller would seal the toys completely. I have no idea if that mold is going to make our dog sick or not. It's simply gross inside.Previous review follows --Our Blue Heeler loves this toy at night. The bounce is not predictable, so she has to be really fast to grab it. The loves the challenge and it's fun to watch the lights bounce in all directions until it's in her mouth -- and then the light makes a beeline back to us to throw it again. All great fun.Unfortunately, she slobbers all over the ball and it gets slimy and muddy. So, I washed it off in the hose or the sink and that's when the light's electronics shorted out. The lights don't work, but the ball still bounces off kilter, which our dog really likes.If I buy another set, I will be really careful not to submerge it in water.

My dogs love these balls and my old guy with vision problems had no trouble finding them. However, the old guy and one of my aussies kept biting down to hard as they brought them back to me and broke them. The soft material is good for their mouths but can't protect the light mechanism inside.

2/14/22 upgraded to 4 stars. These are great in the snow. The Glow Streak and other heavy balls sink. These are light and remain on top of the snow; easy to find.Previously: These are fine for what they are. We play a lot of fetch in the dark with light balls, since it is dark early and often in the upper PNW. These don't last very long in the rain season. They do float, but they are an open design and quit working after going into water. Our dogs are small (12 & 20 lbs). They can get a clamp on these as they are soft and have ridges. However, a larger dog that likes to chew may destroy these quickly. They do not feel very durable.If you can afford it, spend the extra $ and get the Nite Ize Glow Streak ball. Floats, replaceable batteries, much more durable, and has grooves even a small dog can clamp onto.

The first ball I had the light inside the ball only lasted a couple days. The other ball lasted a lot longer but still short of my expectation.

Good size for a small dog. Perfect for my dog that has poor vision since it lights up. He plays with it all the time.

Love these balls but they do not last long with dogs who are aggressive chewers. I got three days of use out of them before they broke.

I thought it was too heavy for my dog as he is 10lbs but still manages to play with it. One ball stopped working in 24 hours. The second is still working after a month. Seemed weird to send back one ball and he was happy there was a second. But if you have a big dog this would work and would not get damaged. I worried about poisoning if they got hold of the battery but these balls are thick.

My 7 year old French bulldog had it five minutes before the squeeker broke and the lights stopped working.

My dogs love these balls. My biggest issue is the squeaker and the lights quite working days after giving the balls to the dogs. For the price thats what I was paying for, lights and squeaker. Tried to contact seller, to see if there is a fix. No response.

I bought this ball for night time play outside with my dog. Works great so far, although the noise effect got shewed the first night. I wonder how long the batteries will last in this thing ?, it doesn't appear to have an access port of sorts, for charging or replacing them. I will re post when I have a time frame of longevity.*** edit *** do not buy to play outside, the ball is just a ball now, nothing special about it.

This ball is a lot of fun. My dog plays fetch a few time a day and this is one of the ones we use in the evenings. It is nice that it doesn't bounce in a predictable direction and keeps her on her toes. Only 4/5 stars as it only blinks for 15 seconds. It gives her enough time to get to it usually, but occasionally it goes off before she can get to it.
