I can hardly cook for myself, and now I need to cook for a toddler?
This cookbook has been really helpful to me. I see lots of reviews saying that this book has stuff you probably already know if you're a 'healthy eater', but I think that's unfair; I am a vegetarian who likes eating whole, healthy foods, but I only cook like 5 things and eat lots of 'raw' food (sliced fruit and vegetables b/c they don't require prep). For a mama who grew up eating food out of boxes or whatever I could make in the microwave, and who never had someone teach them how to cook, having a guide like this to give my own spawn a better start means a great deal.I found the "Baby Food" book by this author helpful, also. I really like food, and to eat lots of different flavors, but I don't find it easy to be creative with flavor combinations-- that puree-centric volume and this one were immensely useful guides in that respect. This book isn't made to facilitate adult-child cooperative cooking, but I've found that since the ingredients and recipes are so simple, there are lots of opportunities for my toddler to contribute (sprinkling cinnamon, stirring the ingredients together with a fork, spooning the batter onto the baking sheet, etc.).PROS:>simple recipes, not too many steps.>simple combinations of ingredients.>nothing takes too long!>recipes don't call for the use of any expensive or specialty equipment.>nothing too "exotic" that you might not be able to find at the average grocery store (at least in my experience), and suggestions for simple switches of an ingredient might be hard to find or seasonably unavailable, or for things you might already have in your kitchen that would do just as well.>easy on the salt and sweetening, while still suggesting seasonings to compliment the main ingredients-- all of which I think is good, especially for young ones still developing their palates.>suggestions for how to make recipes veg*, dairy-free, or gluten-free.CONS:>very few pictures, which would be helpful in knowing what to expect (but on the other hand, doesn't give me the false/high expectations that result from expertly-staged food photographs).BOTTOM LINE: I purchased this book on my own, have no affiliation with the author or publisher, and I would definitely buy any other cookbooks this author published.

Good recipes, easy to follow
I’ve tried several recipes from this cookbook and they’re easy to do, ingredients can be readily found, and it’s all pretty tasty too! I didn’t cook much before but this has helped me a lot! Yes, there’s no photos and I almost didn’t buy it because of that, but the recipes are simple and clear enough that I don’t miss/need the pictures!

Useful Organic Toddler Cookbook!
I think this toddler cookbook is nice to have. It has very healthy recipe ideas in it. The layout is nice and all the information is useful. My only complaint is there isn’t any pictures for the recipes. It would help so much to be able to “see” for us visual learners. A recipe is more apt to be made from sight rather than a title!

my go-to gift and inspiration for family meal prep
I've only just begun to dive into recipes in this book but love Stephanie's overall approach to cooking and variations of dishes that both kids and families will enjoy. My children are now 3 and 5 but this is resource I wish I had access too when they were younger. It's now my go-to gift for parents expecting their 2nd child. I'm excited to introduce them to these recipes as they're different from what I would typically cook and pack more healthful ingredients. I pay close attention to the recipes that you can freeze well as I love a make-ahead hack. Hoping this ups my kids' veggie intake and overall appreciation for flavorful and healthy food

Great recipes
Ive been loving this book so far, and have made some great meals that my 14 month old is loving. A few things i have held off because i dont think hes ready for it, but am excited to try them when we are ready. I love that its not just recipes, the intro to organic eating is great too. There are no pictures, but so far everything i have made looks and tastes great too.

Good book for new mums
Good book for new mums but I wish it was organised by age group instead of by recipes, otherwise there are great combination ideas

Not illustrated
Had to return as there is no illustration of the dish . That doesn't help as visual is the key
