My baby girl loved this dress and so did I. I did go up one size but it fit her perfectly.

The photos you see: from front- 12 year old measurements exactly as the size chart says. She is right at 5ft tall and the length hits just above her ankles. from the back-10 year old girl about 3 inches shorter than the first who’s measurements slightly exceed the chart the length hits just above the floor. My opinion on the size is that this would NOT fit an average 13-14 year old child as displayed in the listing. It may work as a tea length dress for a petite preteen, however. Neither child is wearing a pettiskirt underneath and in my opinion the look wouldn’t be improved with one. It fit as expected, and there was a little bit of give or take with the measurements BUT make no mistake, there is absolutely zero stretch, as should be expected for a dress made of these materials. The fabric is actually better than I expected. The outer material doesn’t look or feel shiny/fake like I was worried about. There is an inner layer that is very cheap satiny material but you don’t see it. The zipper is nice quality, another worry I had. Overall, coming from someone who’s had lots of experience with pageants and ballet, this is a fantastic dress for the price! The photos you see are straight out of the package, so as you can imagine with time hanging up and a good steaming they’ll look even better. I really recommend this dress. I’m very pleased with my purchase.

Very nice, fit well. My daughter loved it. However, the actual color is much lighter, more like lavender, not the dark purple shown in the picture.

This dress is super cute on! The only downside side is that I did size up so that she’d be able to wear it for a few events she has coming up but it fits super snug. I’m not sure we’ll make it past this first event or two.

We bought this dress for my daughter to wear to her father-daughter dance, and it could not have been more perfect! The fit was true to size and incredibly flattering without being uncomfortable. The material felt high-quality and soft, so she was able to dance and move around all night without any complaints. The detailing is even prettier in person — it has just the right amount of sparkle and elegance without being over the top. She felt so confident and special wearing it, which is exactly what you want for a memorable night like that. We received so many compliments, and my daughter keeps saying she wants to wear it again! Absolutely beautiful but my daughter hated the material. She isn't picky about material or tags but she said this material made her itch. Also I felt the top was a bit too low. I sized down to a 5-6 even though she is in a size 8 and it fit very well.

The dress looks so beautiful on! The wrinkles came out easily with a steamer. It worked wonderfully with a hoop skirt underneath to really poof out the dress (First photo is with the hoop skirt, second is without it. It looks beautiful both ways, so don't feel like you have to get a skirt). My daughter loved it! We ordered it last night for over night delivery. It came nice and early, as promised, and she was able to wear it for her birthday party just a couple hours later. We are very happy with it! I was most pleased that it didn't look cheap, but rather like we picked it up at a bridal shop. Some people return "due to tight fit." If you use a measuring tape, and order based on their measurements matched to the size guide, you'll get the perfect fit! Don't go by age or "well, she usually wears a..." Measure and you can rest assured that they steered you right. (For example, my daughter just turned 10, she usually wears a 14/16, and the dress size that matched her measurements was an 11-12 years. You cannot go wrong with measuring!)
