Silverline 688506 Bamboo Sticks / Plant Stakes 300mm Pack of 50 Green (688506)

These are perfect, just what I needed and couldn't find locally! I've ordered the 300mm pack of 50 for £4.49 and am very happy. Being a prime customer, delivery was next day and free. The green colour blends into the plants well and imo not as unsightly as all the natural bamboo canes. The smaller size is spot on for my use. I use them for when I plant smaller seed grown plants such as sunflowers into the borders, before I have to give them larger supports. They work well with the smaller 9cm plants I but such as delphinium until they too need a bit more support. Fantastic value for money as is a 50 pack cheaper than a garden centre near me. Being thinner sticks than the large bamboo canes you need to be careful not to apply too much pressure pushing them into the ground. The pack I received was sealed and simply presented, all sticks intact. Very versatile for other uses, flexible as thinner than canes. Reusable once you change support. Super easy and self explanatory. I 100% recommend them and they come in different lengths. Will happily purchase more when needed.

Not a lot I can say about these. Good value, good quantity provided. Used for sugar snap pea plants to help them grow. Being only 30cm tall, they fitted well in the potting table with lid. They were thick and seem to be of very good quality. They are dyed green - but not too sure why? I wouldn't have minded plain.

If you are a gardener you will probably have some of these. They are very thin, straight, bamboo shoots that have been dyed dark green as is normal for garden products. These are primarily used to support small plants and as they grow upwards they are supported as they 'climb' up. They are not strong but are intended more as a support for young/small plants. They are frequently seen supporting orchids (see image) as orchids are delicate especially as they grow taller. (Please note that the image is not mine and was taken from the Internet.)
