2 Stainless Steel Food Steamer 8.5 Qt Electric Glass Lid Vegetable Steamer Double Tiered Stackable Baskets with Timer

I had an old plastic steamer, and it was junk. We used it so much it cracked. Who knows how many plastic we ingested over the years. The goal was no plastic this time around. This unit is stainless steel all around except a glass lid. Perfect to limit plastics. This is a big unit. You can easily steam enough for a full, large meal. The double decker was something new for me. Keep in mind whatever is on top will drip on the bottom level. See the pictures for some context. You could steam several ears of corn. You can do a search for the correct length of steaming for whatever you’re making. The box contained a box to give some ideas. The unit is sturdy- well worth the money. It’s easy to clean. After a couple of uses, I do see some calcification on the heating portion. Clean that after each use, or you’re going to get buildup. Keep in mind what you’re buying - this isn’t a microwave. You aren’t going to steam veggies in a minute. This takes a minute to heat up the water in the base and get going. But once it gets going, you’ll see steam coming out the hole in the top. In all, wish I had bought this sooner. It’s been well worth the money. I got nothing for this review. Hope it was helpful!

I love this Secura steamer. I love steaming my vegetable and fish for more nutritional benefits than other methods of cooking. This is a perfect additional to my cooking appliances. It features four different food settings with timer and auto shut off if there is no more water in the base. Heats up super fast and cleans easily. The convenience of being able to steam two different foods at the same time is perfect for fast meal prep. Would highly recommend.

I love that the water resovoir is also stainless steel so no plastic anywhere heating into my food. Yes it does kind of scorch white on the bottom as other reviews state, but easily removed with a bit of vinegar and water wiped with paper towel. Steamer works great and I can steam dinners together very easily. Love it. Hopefully it ladts!

I really like this steamer. Ones I've had in the past have had plastic bowls that just didn’t last. The stainless steel looks like it will last. We’ve used it only a few times. Seems to steam well. There are two things I’d change. The holes in the bowls are a tad big. Corn kernels fall through easily. I imagine the same will happen with peas. The other thing is that when the time is up, the pot just shuts off. I prefer that there would be a ring at the end of cooking time.

We steam a lot of veggies in our house. We've been through 2 plastic steamers in the past 5 years or so. We almost always hand wash them but they just get brittle over time. We were going to try to find on Black Friday but it was almost impossible to find steamers. Apparently steaming your veggies isn't cool anymore. Looks like all the kids are air frying everything but whatever... :) This thing works great. I love that it's stainless steel with a glass lid. I haven't had any issues with bottom heating area rusting. It is discoloring a bit due to being heated but I'm not surprised by that. Yes the holes are big in the pans. If you do anything around pea size you'll lose it through the holes. You'll have to steam those items in another container. Inconvenient but not the end of the world. It does take longer to steam things in this steamer compared to our other ones. About 20 minutes for most veggies compared to 12-15. Don't fill it too much unless you're steaming for a long time. Not enough water will run it dry. Too much and it will take an hour to steam those green beans. I like that the cord can be removed. I wrestled with the built in cord on our last steamer. It always seemed to flop out of the cupboard...mocking me. This one gets pulled and tossed in one of the pans. This makes for easier storage. Overall we're very pleased. Hopefully it lasts a long time.

Simple and it does what its intended to do. Steam. Easy to clean and have no issues yet. The only thing to be worried about is the lower heating coil etches the stainless pan at the bottom and unable to get it looking like new after first use/washing.

Love this! Worked better than I could've hoped! Used it for our easter potatoes. Great!

We liked the idea that it was stainless steel, and we're enthusiastic about it. It broke after using it twice, not sure what went wrong but it stopped warming up the water. We troubleshoot as suggested by manufacturer but wasn't successful

Sent with American plug, can’t seem to get them to send an English one. Total nightmare this is for a 90 year old. Will be sending back

I purchased this item for my elderly parents. It was ordered in the UK for use in the UK. It duly arrived however the plug is not compatible with a 3 pin UK plug socket. £25 later it now has the correct plug!!

Just got it a couple weeks ago. It is all stainless steel. No plastic. Which is hard to find. Works great. Looks nice. Feels solids and sturdy. Reasonable price. Love it.
