The Shih Tzu Who Knew Jiu-Jitsu

I liked this book for my 7 year old great granddaughter because she has taken Jiu-Jitsu and I gave her a wall hanging plate with a picture of a Shih Tzu.

As a woman with a Jiu Jitsu addiction, I was naturally drawn to this book. The writing and artwork are just wonderful, and the book gives 4 practical steps in how to handle a bully, in as non-violent way as possible. Jiu Jitsu is the "gentle art" after all. My 6 year old seemed to really enjoy it, and he could easily remember the steps when we followed up with him.

Great quality book. Well written and illustrations were good too. I got this as a gift for my niece because my brother practices jiu-jitsu. She's only 6 months old and can't enjoy the book yet, but my brother really liked it and read it right away.

Great story to introduce young readers to the art of jiu-jitsu and to prompt a good discussion about dealing with bullies. Both our kids (9-year-old son and 6-year-old daughter) really enjoyed it, especially because they've been taking jiu-jitsu lessons for some time, but it's a great read for everyone, whether they're into jiu-jitsu or not.

Bought this as a gift for a Jiu-Jitsu loving new dad. The baby is a little young still to understand it, but dad just thought it was awesome! He said he even shared it with his fellow jiu-jitsu athletes.

I truly enjoyed this book and read it with my son. It has a very self-defense mindset and I hope she makes more. I bought two copies of this book, one for my house and one as a gift.

Nice book w decent illustrations

I love this book. The characters of Leo and Bon Bon are fine role models for children, and the artwork is beautiful. I look forward to seeing what's next for the cute, fuzzy hero pup.

Bought this for my son who has just started learning Ju-Jitsu. And the fact it also has his own pet/breed of dog in it (Rottweiler) has made it even more fun for him to read it, he loves it
