Finally.. A lip primer that actually enhances and improves your lips.. Not make them dry or cakey
I've used to use Concealer as a lip primer but it was way too dry and could emphasize your lip lines if even a little dry. I've tried a few actual lip primers before this.. Shany.. To much like Concealer, E. L. F.... Way too dry and hard to get good, even coverage, not to mention made lipstick application like worse. But my efforts have finally paid off! This is the PERFECT lip primer. Not the least bit drying(actually feels slightly moisturizing), glides on like a high end lipstick giving just enough coverage to appreciate lipsticks true pigment and give a little lasting power. Some people may think it's not effective because it is not extremely opague.. More on the sheer side bringing your lips down to a uniform shade. This is not a downside.. It's a plus. It ensures that your lips aren't so thickly layered with product that no matter how exfoliated, moisturized, or High end the lipstick... Your lips with look cake and gaudy. I found the best way of applying is to outline my lip line first then fill in lips. So glad I finally found a brand that knows what a actual lip primer should be!

Great product but now it’s sooooo expensive
This lip primer is a must for me, but is too expensive for what it is. It does last a long time though and does a good job. I’ve bought it for much less before but could only find it at this expensive price. I know it has gone up due to tariffs, but (this much?). I even had to pay shipping and I’m a Prime member.

Lip Primer, not concealer
I like as a primer, lipstick goes on smoothly. Still use a drop of concealer to lighten my lips first

Nonstick
It’s not bad. The lipstick still comes off during my workday once I’ve had a few cups of coffee or water.

PERFECT PRIMER FOR MY NYX MATTES!
I tried this with my Copenhagen lipstick because that is the one I notice most wears off in the middle of my lips when eating or drinking. Put it on my hydrated lips, they weren't greasy, but I used lip balm at night, so they weren't dry or chapped, but no balm left either. This primer felt nice going on, thick, but not too waxy, went on smoothly. It didn't seem to affect HOW the lip cream went on, mostly because I think the NYX lip creams go on so smoothly. Do think it helped make it feel a bit more moisturized after I put it on. It DID NOT seem to affect the color or the MATTE LOOK (I REALLY like the matte look, so that was a big deal as well). I put on the Copenhagen and lightly blotted it and let it dry down really well before even drinking anything (I test by putting my hand to my lips to make sure no transfer). I drank some water and it stayed just fine, where before using the primer, even drinking anything would make the MIDDLE of my lips lose a lot of color (and with COPENHAGEN, you REALLY notice) leaving me with a dark wine colored ring around my outer lips. About five-six hours later, I ate something that was a bit OILY and it STILL stayed on pretty well. MILDLY lighter in middle of lips where, without primer, it would be SUPER noticeable and I would be left with the dark ring around my lips. SO FIVE STARS PLUS! ORDERED TWO MORE IN NUDE while they're on sale! As long as I wear NYX Mattes, I will be wearing this PRIMER! .

Doesn't work (don't waste your money)
I bought this product after watching a You Tube video of a woman giving it high praise, and was very disappointed when I tried it. It's moisturizing but that's it. It didn't smooth fine lines in my lips or make my lipstick last longer. If anything, it made my lipstick bleed b/c of the moisture. Very disappointed. Then, to make matters worse, they won't let me return it (although the website didn't say it couldn't be returned), and I have no product or money to help with the issue that I hoped it would solve.

Use as eyelid primer especially for crepey eyelids
Not a great lipstick primer BUT an awesome eyelid primer! Us older ladies suffer crepey eyelids that are just highlighted by shadows. This helps eliminate the crepey affect AND holds eyeshadow all day. Just blot any excess oil from eye lids. Pat (don't rub or stroke) primer into eyelid, orbital bone and below eyebrow. Easiest way is to put primer on finger & dab on eyelid, etc. Hint - when applying shadow, pat into skin, don't rub, to help minimize crepey-ness.

I am stocking up in case of....I don't know.....Armageddon, or something.
You know that feeling you get when you've got a minor problem that irritates you, and you've never been able to find a solution for it? I'm talking, cosmetic. Nothing earth shattering here. I've got a few of them, and I seem to keep finding new ones as I age. But this problem has been with me since I first started putting on makeup as a teenager. My lips and how they react to lipstick colors. ARGH!! I'm very fair, like think pasty, pale Dracula kind of fair. Strawberry blonde, blue eyes. And my lips have always been this pinkish color, but there is a kind of blue/purple undertone to them that always makes lip color skew when I put it on. I couldn't wear pinks or reds or ANYTHING with an orangish color because the color always turned some weird, unflattering shade and I ended up looking like a clown. So basically I could only wear purple/muavey/brown shades. UNTIL THIS!! This product conceals my lip color so I can FINALLY wear any color I want. The bonus is that it doesn't dry my lips out in the process, it seals the moisture in or something. And lip pencils applied afterwards go on like a dream. I honestly don't even think I need to use a liner anymore because this stops the feathering/bleeding with lip colors, as well. So, yeah. I'm buying backups for my backups. Like I said, not an earth shattering problem, but my lips are ready for any apocalyptic type event that may occur. I'll probably shop for lipstick in the mean time.....
