Welcome to Ruby's is a great story.
I C Luck has a great way of writing to tell a story, all of her books are easy reading, the stories have a way of pulling you into them so you want to keep reading. I would very much recommend her books to all my friends.

A group of friends at their own individual crossroads; one woman wasting her talents at a dead end job and another killing her soul in an emotionally abusive relation. Mix in the glitz of LA and the quirky culture of Portland. Add chemistry until it steams, a big dose of angst and the courage of new beginnings and you have WELCOME TO RUBY’S. KC Luck has done it again! Here’s a story you finish and immediately reach for the sequel.

I want to go to Ruby's right now!
KC Luck's book "Welcome to Ruby's" is such a sweet, romantic, fun read. It's about a favorite "local" that we can all relate to. It's that place where you have so much fun, or so much "lesbian drama" with your friends, your lovers and sometimes your ex-lovers. The characters in this story are so well developed and so believable. It's a true page turner that you just might binge read. Aside from the passionate romantic scenes, which are quite steamy, there is also a great plot line and just a great, wonderful story. It makes me miss my "local" from years ago. Even if it is a fictional place, I loved going to Ruby's, and it lives forever, at least in print, and I'm grateful for that. Really engaging, delightful book. Joanie K.

Come in and join the group!
I have fallen in love with the characters of Ruby’s! If you’ve ever had a favorite hangout, you’ll relate to them instantly! Allie and Vivian as the leads, have a love at first sight type connection, when Vivian enters Ruby’s. Of course, KC let’s us suffer through a slow burn type romance, until the first steamy, squirm in your seat love scene! Boy, she’s getting good at writing those! I really like the favt that she’s written about a middle aged woman who has some curves! I think we need more stories that include older lesbians, who may not have a perfect beach body. All the other characters in the bar keep the story flowing and are the type of friends everyone would want to have! Of course, there has to be a villain and KC writes one that you will love to hate. With a bit of angst thrown in just to keep us interested, KC’s latest story flows well and the characters are a lovable bunch! It’s a I don’t want to put the book down, I didn’t want the story to end book ! Why not step into the Ruby Slipper and join the group? I think you’ll love them as much as I do!

Marvelous
Ruby’s Slipper is a neighborhood Lesbian bar. When Vivian Wade buys the bar from Thelma and Trixi, a tight knit group of friends unite to impede her plans. Allie works at Ruby’s on Friday nights and their attraction is immediate and passion flows. Can these two find a path to each other or will different goals separate and break them. Passion and romance overflows.

Great Story
Loved all the characters. Will definitely get the next one. There were a few minor typos throughout (Liza /Lisa) but overall I found it to be an enjoyable read.

Great sexual tension
When Vivian and Allie first see each other they are immediately drawn to each other. As their relationship progresses the sexual tension and their attraction toward one another can be felt by the reader. I loved how KC Luck successfully captured these two career driven women and their attraction to each other.

All Towns Need A Ruby’s
Great characters, lots of positivity, and, tequila (what’s not to like)! – 5 starsI really liked Welcome to Ruby’s, the first few pages took me straight into the story, and it continued to keep me turning the pages right through to the end. Certainly, there are lots of ups and downs along the way, but although there are plenty of twists and turns as Vivian and Allie explore their attraction to each other, this is not a book that’s riddled with angst. Light and fun with quirky characters, lots happening, and feel-good times aplenty, this was a very easy book to enjoy. Cheers! And, Welcome to Ruby’s…Allie Dawson is stuck in a job with the measliest excuse of a boss, Mr Wiley. Only meeting-up with her friends at The Ruby Slipper (always known simply as ‘Ruby’s’), keeps her sane. Ruby’s has been under the same ownership for years, so when Thelma breaks the news that she and her wife Trixie are selling-up, Allie and her friends worry about what that will mean for their favourite hang-out.Vivian Wade is going through a very messy divorce from the scheming Becca. Thinking the purchase of Ruby’s is just what she needs to give her a break away from the pressures in Los Angeles, the experienced bar owner doesn’t expect to encounter any problems in adapting Ruby’s to her style. Vivien though didn’t plan on falling for one of the clients (Allie). However, when she finds out Allie is a part-time employee at the bar, Vivien thinks that will be a complication too far, gets cold feet, and leaves Allie high and dry. Allie though is not about to let Vivian off the hook that easily.

Small town owns one Los Angeles
Allie & her mates consider Ruby's Slipper their bar. When it was bought by an unknown woman Vivian from Los Angeles it's certainly got the attention of Allies crew. What then happened is that the arrival of Vivian caused Allie to be looking suspiciously like an adolescent who had just discovered their hormones. However it was completely mirrored by this sharply dressed female entrepreneur who was all business. Now many would think that these two women had the whit to grab each other come what may.No not so simple Vivian had left behind her ex wife who continued to torment her, bringing Vivian back to her city ways & realising that her ex had had complete control over her. Allie offerd equality a partnership based on their commitment to each other. Vivian had already reached 2 strikes & Allie had warned her one more & that's itThen Vivian did it denied her again & Allie left for her small town. That still left the small matter of Ruby's Slipper. Vivian came back to sell the bar but she got thinking what did she really want. The after another visit from her ex who had declared she still had feelings for Vivian. Allie saw her off & suddenly they realised the loved each other & wanted each other in their daily lives & then they stopped & just lived & loved each other. A wonderful journey

I really enjoyed this story
I really enjoyed this story, the descriptions of the bar and the regulars made me feel like I was there.I found most of the main characters likeable, but of course we also like to have the nasty ones to hate. I am looking forward to the next book.
