Redmonds Great for Coffee
I have known about Redmonds salt since a trip to Utah back in 2002. I ran across it as the table salt for a diner just east of Vernal, on US 40. It was so unique and flavorful that we bought a 8 oz. "shaker" of it on the spot, since they sold it at the restaurant. Fast forward a few years, I've been using Redmonds in cooking and special flavored things where the tang of the salt was just as important as the saltiness, like in cucumber salad and chip dips. The natural mineral content really lends a hearty saltiness with a "tang" that's hard to describe, but you should try it. It looks kinda like "dirty" salt, or reddish, and it is, but the minerals in the salt make a delightful addition instead of having "just salt" in your food or drink. I think the older salt was a little more red than this new one I just bought, and I miss that. I want my reddish-colored salt back! It was one of the characteristics I looked for in on-the-shelf packaging when sitting in the store. But, they don't have it in the stores around here any more. But, I think the new package I got from Amazon is doing fine. I use it in the summer when I'm feeling dehydrated, and it's great to put about a gram of it in the bottom of a lime margarita. However, I have since discovered the art of putting Redmonds salt in percolated coffee. The mellowness it lends to the coffee is sublime, not to mention it gives you a boost of electrolytes every morning you drink it in your coffee. I've since added cinnamon to my coffee too, like they do in Cuba, and boy, what a nice touch. And it lowers my blood pressure by about 5 points with daily consumption. Once you've done this, you'll hate the artificially flavored cinnamon creamers on the market today, you can't beat the real thing. It only takes less than a gram (a generous sprinkle) of Redmonds salt in the new grounds when first perking a fresh pot for about 6 cups. It is the best coffee I've had and no other salt seems to lend the correct chemistry to my coffee than Redmonds. The big drawback is that you'll get used to it and hate the way other people make coffee after having your own "Redmonds brew"! I highly recommend it and is a "must" for any kitchen worth it's "salt".

Amazing taste and minerals for health
The taste is amazing! We literally use it for everything. I have replaced the other salt I was using. Only criticism would be that the holes are a bit on the wider size so be careful with how quickly the salt sprinkles out.

The lid doesn’t always have the right number of openings for the salt to come out
The only thing is the lid wasn’t correct. It’s hard to get the salt to come out because it doesn’t have two to three different lid openings. It only has one and it’s for small. The salt can’t come out very well. The salt itself is very good except for the container lid

I will never go back to regular salt again
My favorite thing about this salt is the way it flavors without tasting salty. It has a light flavor to it that I can tell is still salt, but it's not bitter. The quality of the shaker is as good as any other.

I have done a lot of reading about this product and the natural minerals this provides to promote proper daily function of the body. I will tell you ,I have been suffering for 2 years with this non - diabetic Neroupathry , and tried supplements ,injections and so on. I just introduced this product to my daily breakfast and have noticed That my Blood Pressure , is below 120/80 the biggest change was my pulse from 70 to 58 . This is a great start for my recovery and due to the absence of Natural salt ,you can see for yourself how important this is for our healthy well being.
