So easy to use. An effective repair for kitchen unit hinge. Once repaired it seems more stable than when it was new.

There are few plates in the market. Decided to go for these because the central holes seemed larger than in other variations online. These were needed to accommodate the larger screws from my existing hinge for the kitchen cabinet door. This plate is smaller in area than some others too.Worked a treat.As expected the plate adds a couple of mm to the hinge. Using the hinge adjustment screws, as best as you can, may account for this but it may not be a perfect solution. However; it does what you need and salvages your hinge with a strong solution.It comes with screws however, I used my own screws therefore couldn’t comment on the accompanying screws on this occasion.At this price I thought I was worth a go.

This product saved me from replacing my kitchen unit. My door came office hinge and took with it the wood that the hinge screws into. Then I came across this repair kit. It's so easy to fit and is more robust than the original because the screws go into metal and not the wood (laminate) on kitchen unit. Great repair kit. Recommended to and one with sane problem. The item comes from a company up North..... I used them to replace broken or warn out or loose raw-plug on my wardrobe .which was making tye doors misaligned. Tip. Prepare all the tools required for the job. Carefully remove/ unscrew one end of the large expanding hinge ( the end thats on the inside not the door end ). Remove to door to a safe space. Now remove the metal plate that covers the current raw plugs and leave them to one side ( you'll need these later when reassembling the door hinges. Now remove all the current raw plugs, clean out the holes. Put new raw plugs in ( you may as I did have to cut raw plug length to fit the hole) when you've done that fit the new raw plugs in the cleaned-out holes and glue them in with a wood-glue ( cost £1 ) . Now you're ready to put the newly-purchased metal plates over the raw plug that you've just glued , screw each plate tight...After you've repeated this ( assuming that there are others to do) you're now ready for the final stage. Now get the door you removed and screw/fit the door-hinge onto the new metal plates... All done!

Wish I'd come across these ages ago as it only took 10 minutes to fix and seems very sturdy. We've had a kitchen cupboard door that had been loose on its hinges for ages then finally fell off. I tried several solutions to refixing including using matchsticks and glue. That worked for a short time but it still came loose and was falling off again. Refixed with another "bodge" job but again it came loose and fell off and the holes were just getting bigger. These plates simply fit over the original holes, fix the hinges to the plate, re-attach the door. Simples and only took 10 minutes. All screws needed were supplied so couldn't be happier with this product. Will definitely use again if I have a similar problem in the future.

super quick and easy fix for cupboard doors etc. Well worth having.
