I used this a half dozen times nice design but if it were built
Hi. one of the jaws split while being very careful mounting a Samsung galaxy tab 3 lite, I used this a half dozen times nice design but if it were built, designed with aluminum or Lexan jaws it would be a spectacular device, even being very careful the jaws can crack, split, break, I am using it on a tripod, and a mini tripod with my recording and professional photography gear, nice additive to the kitchen with the tablet with recipes on the counter, display with blue prints of buildings, I give it 5 stars, I shouldn't , BUT ! too expensive for me to return for refund, I am just going to make my own machined JAWS, supposedly the supplier-support stands behind their products, , Lets see, it would make a big difference in customer relations, Should the manufacturer re-design the materials this will be the best one out there , would I buy it again, Maybe, would I recommend these specific mounts, ?? questionable, but YES ! just be careful spreading the jaws, I was AND ??? I have the means of making exact jaws of metal. I should not have to, J R Massachusetts

Great mounting device for my iPad mini. I really wish it can be cheaper
Can't find better quality anywhere else, so I decided to just buy this. Well, for 20 dollar, I guess it does the job pretty well.Pro.1. Designed for iPad Mini, therefore, it is an excellent fit. The quality of this product feel well-built to accommodate the weight of iPad Mini.2. You can also try this on iPhone 6 Plus , which should work as well as an iPad Mini.3. the design is very compact so I can carry it in my pocket.4. It allows you adjust the position of your iPad mini from horizontal to vertical.Cons.1. I still can't believe this little Tablet holder costs 20 dollar. Feels kinda of expensive to me.Overall, it does the job of holding my iPad Mini on a tripod stick or a grip stick. I wish it is bit of cheaper though.

The mount connects to a tripod nicely allowing for easy viewing adjustments
Was looking at purchasing the other version of this same tablet mount (non-metal) and saw this one on the companies website. After reading a few reviews about the threaded part stripping out on the plastic version, I decided to spend a few extra dollars and get the metal version instead. THe part that clamps to the tablet is still plastic and rubber, but the piece (silver colored part) that mounts to the tripod is anodized aluminum. The product is built well and does exactly what I needed. I am using it to hold a ASUS MeMO Pad 7 that I am using as a monitor for my Canon DSLR (along with the DSLR Controller app). The mount connects to a tripod nicely allowing for easy viewing adjustments. The tablet grip is firm and the product design looks like it will hold up to everyday use. This review will be updated if I experience any quality issues, but for now I am very happy with this purchase. Still wish it was made in the USA though.Bottom line: I can highly recommend this tablet mount.

Keep looking for a better product
Would not buy again. Side brackets are deep and while they hold fairly securely, they seem wierd if you don't have a thick case on your iPad. I also wonder that if your case is that thick that you need that much depth, then I question how easily the clamps will stretch to fit over the additional width that the case would create. Bracket only stretches to fit the narrow part and not with a lot extra room. Also you need the micro head ball to fit it onto tripod and that ball is very flimsy plastic and wiggles and rotates freely under the weight of the iPad, even without the case. The talent iClaw was much more secure and went easily onto std mic stand but can't use with a case.

Misrepresentation of size
This was exactly what I wanted, nice and sturdy. Said fit up to 7", it does not. My iPad is 6 3/4 inches wide and there was absolutely no way it would fit on this. Item returned and will look for something else.

Overall Design could have been better, but still a solid mount for everyday use.
Mount was decent over all. However, as a user I wish I could have given some input on the design of the product that would have made it slightly more compact but yet more functional and rigid.Issue: It doesn't change configurations very smoothly without accidentally forcing outside of it's typical functional area in certain setups (but with a little extra effort, taking the mount apart, it works fine).

Simple but Effective Solution
Works well as described and is a good solution at a low price. Be sure to consider where the buttons are located on the edges of your device and determine if they will interfere with the clamping action of this product. Clamping force is sufficient to securely hold a device off-center in order to avoid contacting buttons.

It holds my Note 8 while in its' protective case.
It holds my Note 8 while in its' protective case. I just wish it had a locking swivel at the bottom. When you screw in onto a tripod it takes some fumbling to get to point in the right direction. It will not bother some people, for me, it's annoying.I also bought the one made for smartphones.

A nice little addition
The purpose for ordering this little gadget was to be able to use my Kindle as a monitor for my Canon camera via Canon's EOS Remote app. It works great in conjunction with Neewer's mini ball head! I've looked at alot of tablet holders, either they were over priced, made of too much plastic, or their reviews kept me looking for something better... If there are not enough reviews on the product you're looking for it's always good to look at those on amazon.com's site and that's where I found my answer! Fast forward to delivery, both ball head and this little mount arrived together... The Square Jellyfish mount fits the Kindle (7" 2013 version) perfectly! It sits solid and feels secure in this mount. The two end clamps and center piece are made of plastic while the actual silver coloured portion of the mount is made of a nicely finished metal. Once the thumb screw is tightened there is no slackening and it will stay that way until you loosen it. At the bottom of the Jellyfish mount there's a 1/4" metal thread which attaches very nicely to the Neewer mini ballhead and lets me position the Kindle wherever I want! I've been waiting for over a year for the perfect gizmo and this is it. Thank you to the other reviewers for helping me make my decision!

Solid stuff!
Very well built. Solid! Big enough for 10in tabs. Spring could be tighter I felt. But all in all a superb product.

I am a sport coach and have used various mounts for my ipads to do video analysis. My previous mounts have all worked fine but they have been both expensive and cumbersome to carry around. The Square Jellyfish mount works exactly as advertised for my new ipad mini 4, has good build quality, is tiny and inexpensive. I haven't had it long enough to speak to it's durability but if it doesn't break down prematurely, it will definitely tick off all the boxes which is rare for any product these days.

Four Stars
Good amount of clamping force to hold your device. Seems well built and should last long if used properly.
