It does not seem to aggravate it but it does nothing to help with it.

Can this be used as a pre-shave oil ? How thick is it ?

It’s not a thick/heavy oil. After I apply it, I don’t feel as though I have an oily beard. (Sorry, I have no idea how it would work as a pre-shave oil). I hope this helps.
